I stared at the small city below, my focus on the one building, amongst a shitload of them. I put my binoculars down, throwing the butt of my cigarette down the mountain. Looking at my watch, I noticed the time.

6:30 am......

We've been just watching the area for the last 3 hours, there was no American military around.....only the dudes these brothers got guarding around the capitol house.

"I counted 12, so far....." Moses said, looking through his binoculars.

"14.....the two drinking coffee at the bodega....." Tej said.

I looked through my binoculars again, at the only coffee shop across from the capitol building. There were two guys who were dressed regular and casually drank their coffee and smoking cigarettes. You can obviously tell that they weren't just civilians, their heads constantly moved towards the capitol building. Tej taught us to be constantly aware and pay attention to anyone around our focus points. Pay attention to the people who's around the vicinity, majority of the time when you think they ain't nobody.....

They really are....

And these two guys were being inconspicuous for a reason.

We were at least 70 miles from the rural city limits, on top of one the many mountains that the country had. We were just doing a basic surveillance, we can't just go in shooting up the shit. We gotta be able to see who usually be in certain areas, who were always around the brothers and building.....that way, we can get a good solid guess on where exactly Markhil and the two other ambassadors are.

"What kinda technology they got here, Siah....?" We looked at my brother, sitting on the grass and typing in his laptop.

It was basically like a camp ground for us and this would be where we would sleep and keep watch, after we search Abdoli during the day. Away from eyes and we can freely watch the capitol building, without them knowing that they were being watched. It's an adjustment, but I see why it works.

"Someone is giving them good technology.....majority of services are here. It's only one cell tower in the region and it's frequency is super high, so everyone in a 200 mile radius would have to get close here...." He shook his head, with a wry twist of his lips.

"How far is Abdoli, again....?" Kyle looked through his binoculars again.

I looked through mines again, to see if there was any vehicular movement and yet, there wasn't. There was the beginnings of life moving around, but it was careful and timid movements. Like the actual civilians were aware of the strict eyes watching them.

It don't make no sense for people to live in fear in their own country.......

I saw one of the guards try to rough up an older man, I gripped my binoculars tight......fighting the urge to grab my rifle and shoot. More guards were appearing for the day and civilians were shiftily moving around.
