I knew what I was getting myself into when I was nominated by my party to run. It's no pacifying the situation or reasons.....it's cuz of the color of my skin, the way I ain't tryna follow the statistical norm for how a candidate is supposed to look like.....
I'm too young for the power, too hood and I wanna talk about radical ideas. They're ideas that makes sense and not based on old discriminatory laws.....it's a new decade and era. We understand the violation of humanity, respect and rights, now and most of us also see that we've been under some low key sick and twisted shit from way back then. Our culture fell into it, because our grandparents and before became accustomed and accepted to the slow trend. We ain't here for that and we can't keep living like this no more.
I went through the bullshit when I ran for the mayoral and senate seat back home. I was living in AL, where all the racist white, red neck motherfuckas be at and I still won that with the improvement I was seeking for equal and fair acts for all.
So, Morgan's right.....if I won the seat back home......I can win the presidential seat and be the beginning to a change. Morgan stood by me the last 12 years, she never pressed me for marriage, instead.....other than family, she's my biggest supporter. Morgan gave me a soft smile and I rubbed her cheek, Londyn and her cousin did my fiancé up beautifully.
I thought about the situation we're finding ourselves in now. I know that I was gonna have a lot against me when I accepted the nomination, I honestly thought that it wouldn't get this far. I stared her in the eyes, I'm putting Morgan's life on the line.
