My dad rushes up the stairs with a box of aspirirn. He hands it to my mom and she pops out a pill. She hands it to me and I swallow it with some water.

Maybe you should go to sleep honey. Mom says putting her hand on my forehead.

I've been asleep for hours mom. I'm not tired anymore. I say. Mom nods and kisses my forehead.

Do you want me to stay up here with you for a while? Mom asks. I nod and she smiles.

I'll leave you guys. Dad says smiling. He leaves the room and mom kisses my hand.
