Y/n is nine

Summary: Y/n has a nightmare and goes into Jake's room for comfort.

Y/n wakes up in a cold sweat, her hands shaking and tears pricking her eyes. She climbs out of bed and waddles down the hall to her parents bedroom and sees her dad awake and on his phone.

He notices his daughter in the doorway and sits up. "What's wrong?" He asks.

"I had a bad dream." Y/n pouts. Jake nods and gets out of bed.

"You wanna watch some TV?" He asks as he holds his hand out for his daughter. Y/n nods, letting Jake lead her out of the room to the living room. "Come on, let's watch some Bluey or something."

"I'm nine," Y/n reminds him.

"Everyone loves Bluey, Y/n." Jake says.

Y/n can't even argue with her dad. She's been caught watching the kids show with her little brother countless times, hypnotised by dogs on the screen.

Jake leads his daughter to the couch and turns on Bluey. The two of them slowly feel themselves getting tired as they watch, Y/n more than Jake.

Slowly, the two of them fall asleep, letting the TV continue playing in the night.
