Despite being a pre-teen, Y/n still gets nightmares. And usually, those nightmares come from the dark. It's not about being in the dark alone, it's about what could be in the dark with her.
Tonight is one of those nights. Y/n sits up in her bed, her chest heaving. Quickly, she gets up and rushes to her dad's room.
Without even thinking, she climes into his bed. Andrew turns around and sees his daughters small figure laying there.
He pulls her into a hug and kisses her head. "Are you ok?" He asks her. Y/n shakes her head. "Talk to me."
"I had a nightmare." She whispers. Andrew nods and kisses her head once more.
"Try and get some sleep, ok?" He whispers making the girl nod. Since Y/n's mother passed away when she was five, she's gotten nightmares every few weeks.
Andrew doesn't mind her coming into bed with him, because he wants her to feel safe.
And Andrew will always make his daughter feel safe.
