"You will never win" is this book's phrase or motto or whatever you call it. xD

"Helicopter" by Martin Garrix and Firebeatz is this book series' theme song. I love it! (I don't careeeeeeee)

I spent two months recovering, lying in bed staring up at the ceiling planning my revenge.

I was shackled once again, but to the bed. It sucked but there was nothing I could do about it. Every day, a nurse would come in, roll me on my stomach and look at my back then my arm. It took my arm two weeks to heal. Once it was healed, it was a burn scar the shape of a bat with its wings outstretched.

It's a shame I'm not batman.

On the nurse's last visit, she declared that my back was officially healed. I'd be scarred for life there but I was fine now.

When she told me this, I half expected her to let me go, but she didn't. She smiled at me, then walked out.

I cursed her and Alexander to the depths of hell and then waited, which is what I had been doing for months now.

Finally, Alexander sent two armed men to unlock me and have me get dressed. They did so and stood outside the room waiting as I sat up then hoisted my legs over the edge of the bed such that my feet were touching the ground.

When I tried to stand up, my legs felt like jelly and I stumbled then fell to the ground. I growled in fury and grabbed onto a dresser and pulled myself to my feet then leaned against the dresser and took a deep breath preparing to put effort into standing.

Slowly I stood on my feet and wobbled a bit but managed to stay firm. I sighed slightly and walked to the bag of clothes on the ground and picked up a shirt and pants and got dressed.

I knocked on the door after I was finished and one of the guards opened the door for me. I didn't bother saying anything and walked through into the gloomy dim hallway of the building.

The guards led me down the hall into a large, well lit, tile floored, it flourished with colors and furniture. Alexander was sitting on a couch smiling smugly when he saw my appearance. I had a very unhealthy urge to rip his head off.

One of the guards pushed me to a chair with cushions on it. I glared at him then sat down staring at Alexander, "Well?"

"Well what? I expect you to say something first." He replied in his annoyingly thick Russian accent.

"Technically I already did say something first." I rolled my eyes.

He glared, "Fine. You already know that I want you to do job for me right?"

I nodded mutely.

"I want you to kill Cage Rimmer. In exchange, you will gain twenty thousand dollars and one payment of five thousand dollars every year for the next three years."

If I hadn't hated him so much I would've gladly accepted but then I remembered who he wanted me to kill, "Cage?? Why?!"

He frowned, "Did he not yet tell you?"

"Apparently not."

"Cage and I knew each other in business dealings. I would pay good money for his cocaine and marijuana."

I raised an eyebrow but he ignored it.

"Anyways, one day he charged me a very large amount of money for a trunk full of cocaine. I told him I would need time in order to pay. He accepted that but the next day, a squad of his men came into my home and murdered my wife and daughter and I was nearly paralyzed. I will kill him. Since you have such an intimate relationship with him-"

"'Intimate'? Seriously? No way." I scoffed.

He growled in his throat, "Since you and him are such good friends, he wouldn't expect you to harm him. That is why I'm asking you. More like ordering you actually."

I clenched my fists staring down at the ground then looked up at him, "Fine. I'll kill Cage Rimmer, a man who was like a father to me. As long as you give me thirty thousand dollars but get rid of the annual money part of the agreement."

He stared at me then stood up and held out his hand sighing, "Deal?"

I stood up as well, "Deal." I shook his hand but I believe I squeezed his hand so tight that some knuckle must have popped. He didn't wince though or grimace then he pulled his hand out of my grip.

I wanted to rip out one of the guards AKs and shoot him dead but that wouldn't be possible without me dying along with him.

Sighing, I asked, "Give me two weeks and then...Then I'll go to Cage as long as you give me the money first."

He nodded, "Good. I do hope you'll forgive me for the ah, inconvenience of our first meeting."

I clenched my jaw as he said this. What he meant was when he had me whipped then branded with a bat symbol, "It's just fine." I gritted through my teeth. Clearly he didn't notice.

"It's just all fine and dandy." I muttered under my breath.

"What was that?" Alexander called to me.

I looked up at him and plastered a fake smile across my face, "I just said how wonderful this deal is."

He nodded grinning, "Good."

And with that, I was sent back to my room or as I liked to call it, my prison cell.

"Oh and Orphan!" Alexander called out to me.

I turned slowly, "Yes?"

He smirked smugly, "Don't even think about trying to kill me. If you do, you will discover what true pain is."

You have no idea bitch.

I sneered at him and walked out into the hallway followed by the guards then walked into my room and slammed the door shut behind me.
