I woke to my name being spoken in a soft hushed whisper.

When I opened my eyes, I saw four people around me. One of them was a boy, maybe sixteen and had blond hair with blue eyes. Another one I recognized as Anna which didn't help me mentally. Another was a black haired girl and dark eyes that sometimes could feel like hot coals burning into your body. The last person was brown haired and blue eyes with tattoos covering his arms.

I groggily sat up slightly, "Um can I help you?"

The blondy smiled almost, "It's been a while Rage. Remember me? Mack Lane? This is Sam Valentin, Anna Richens, and Asher Valentin."

All then names were familiar. When I was fifteen, I got involved with those kids. They certainly killed many people. One time Sam and I got kidnapped but of course, I saved the day. In those days she was a lot more childish and seemed like she needed a protector. Now she looked dangerous and more grown.

Anna also surprised me. She looked a lot more healed than when I saw her last. She was holding Mack's hand in more than just a friendly way. Her eyes shone happily but as she stared at me there was sadness in her eyes as well.

Asher I remembered solely because I had texted him briefly before I texted Rose and met up with her.

I grimaced at my shoulder and then noticed that Mack's chest and leg was bandaged up, "You were the one who was shot with arrows?" I questioned.

He laughed but the effort seemed to pain him, "Yeah. Some asshole shot me. Normally I'm the arrow dude so I wasn't expecting arrows against me."

I nodded, "OK then..." For a second I looked at my wound to determine how bad it was. It went from my shoulder halfway down my left bicep. It hurt like a bitch and I wanted to just throw a toddler tantrum over it but my line of work sort of required these wounds. I sighed, "Well hello to you too Sam."

All this time her dark eyes had been gazing fiercely at me but she showed no hint of admiration or happiness until she spoke, "Hi." And that was all.

I rolled my eyes and pulled out the IV that was sticking out my right arm. Swinging my legs over the edge of the bed I stood up, "That's very nice. I'm happy to see you too."

Asher rolled his eyes, "Come on. Get dressed. You're coming with us. You can't stay with Avo. We know a few things he intends on doing with you and therefore you have to go."

"What happened to the clothes I had in the back of my car?" I whined.

Mack laughed, "Dumb ass." He threw my the bag of clothes that I had bought at the store.

I grinned at them and walked into the hospital bathroom and dressed into a pair of loose jeans, muscle shirt, a leather vest, and some heavy duty boots. My black hair hung around my neck, ears, and forehead. Sometimes getting into my eyes.

Walking back into the room I shrugged, "Well I guess I'm going with you."

For some reason I felt a small piece of guilt in leaving behind my mother. But as I felt this I reminded myself she abandoned me. Of course I had a right to leave her.

The four kids led me out of the room while Asher gave me the list of risks, "First of all, Avory is going to hunt you down. I hope you're ready for that."

I purposefully cracked my neck almost challengingly, "Oh sonny boy. I've seen a lot more death than you can imagine. I can take care of myself." I smirked at him and he shrugged slightly.

"Whatever. Second, the death of The Sasori has triggered many people wanting you dead. Including a new assassin known as KN1GHT. His origins are derived from Cage Rimmer. Apart from that nothing is known."
