Soulmates - Cai Bing

Prologue

Mnet and YG have had history of beef for awhile now so you were quite surprised when they contacted you to be one of the kpop masters on the show, Girls Planet 999. You were so excited as it was your first mentoring experience on a show and you have seen all of the previous produce seasons, you accepted the position right away and thanked them for asking you.

You are the fifth member of BLACKPINK. Your position in the group is lead vocal, lead dancer, sub rapper, and maknae. You are Chinese Canadian, your family is from Wuhan, China but you were born in Canada.

Canadian kpop idols have become increasingly more common with NCT Mark, The Boyz Kevin both from Vancouver, your birthplace. Your family later on moved to the Greater Toronto Area and Red Velvet's Wendy went to high school 10 minutes from yours and Henry was from that area too.

Along with Lisa, you guys were the first foreign idols of YG. You were the last to be added to the lineup and trained with the girls for a few years.

Your career took off faster than you guys could have ever imagined and you had quickly become your group's main producer after your group's debut mini-album with the help and lessons from producer Teddy and the rest of the black label producers. Like B.I, you soon became a famous idol producer.

Other than your own group's songs you also helped compose While Dreaming for the Produce 48 finale and U got It for Produce x 101. You actually produced the theme song for the show, O.O.O. Along with the Black Label oppas you helped produce SOLO for Jennie's debut, On the Ground and Gone for Rose, Lalisa and Money for Lisa and now you are working on songs for Jisoo. You have also worked with idols like IZ*One, Somi, ITZY, and Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. You would have loved to work with more but YG prefers to keep you locked in the dungeo- I mean keep your songs in house.

You have a natural talent of producing songs and you always had a keen interest in the business side of the company. This also made you genuinely interested in the survival show Girls Planet 999. Lisa has always spoken fondly of her time on Youth with You and you were so excited to experience something similar. The concept of the show was perfect for you too since you can speak mandarin and korean fluently, as well as understand beginner level of Japanese.

You knew you would enjoy your time on the show but little did you know that you would soon meet the love of your life. You were already an established idol and producer but this was the start of a new chapter. You are determined to be with her no matter what and you would give up anything for her. After meeting her, your whole life changed. You knew it wasn't going to be easy though especially loving another idol of the same gender, but she became your world and you wouldn't change a thing.

This is my first time writing any fanfiction so I am sorry if I am lacking. I never expected to write anything, just came here to read but I could not find any Cai Bing full stories so I thought of writing my own (I was longing for more bc i miss the show already). I loved reading the other cai bing one shots and gp999 stories I found so I hope you guys enjoy this half as much as I enjoyed reading others. :)
