13. Break's Over

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" screamed your lovely members when you opened your front door.

You smiled widely as you stood in your entryway, genuinely surprised that they were here. It's been awhile since you guys were all together at once, especially since you guys have all been busy with your individual activities.

The four girls wrapped around you and gave you the biggest bear hug. Even as you get older year after year, you would always be a baby in their eyes.

You spent the morning and early afternoon hanging out with them, eating the takeout and the cake that they have surprised you with. You guys spent time catching up, with each one of you sharing what you guys did during these last few months.

Jisoo shared her experience working on "Snowdrop" and talked about what it was like working with Jung Haein, which made Jennie extremely jealous that someone was making moves on Jisoo. Rose and Jennie shared the details on their eventful trip to LA and Lisa also shared what it was like preparing for her debut solo.

You shared how it was nice to work with ITZY again and of course, Lisa. They also wanted to listen to the four concept songs you had just finished. You were nervous to show them because it was your first time creating songs of those concepts but you were also grateful for how they always cared. You also shared your experience working on survival show for the first time.

Of course, your guys also talked about each other's love lives and they were teasing you, asking you if any of the contestants caught your eye.

You guys shared everything with one another so you weren't scared of telling them, but you were always a little shy and reserved when it was time to talk about your feelings.

"There...might be someone...I don't know...I like her...she's the same age as Jisoo unnie...and she's so alluring and ever since I first saw her, I haven't been able to take my eyes off of her..." you say.

"HA I KNEW IT, it's the girl who performed 'Helicopter' right? I saw a fan edit on YouTube, it was a video titled 'all the times Y/N was caught simping so far' and you guys already know I watched it" Lisa said, unable to control her laughing by the end.

"No way...already??? The show just started airing..." you asked. You weren't a stranger to fan edits, you were well aware of the ones fans made shipping you with different idols, mainly female idols. Most of them were with your members, you had ships with all the members.

"So who was in it?" Rose asked Lisa.

"WELL, most of the clips were of you and the girl who performed 'Helicopter' but there were also clips shipping you with the #1 in C group, who is very pretty by the way, and there were also some shipping you with the girl who you said was born to be center. It was pretty much those edits of your interactions with them and your gaze on them when they were performing...which confirmed my suspicions " Lisa answered.

"hEY I thought you only had eyes for me" Rose teased her girlfriend. Rose and Lisa had been dating for some time now.

"Wait, what suspicions?" you asked when you realized what she said.

"That something's going on! We can always tell" she said smugly.

You fessed up and told them more about how you've been feeling lately.

Like how you always think about Cai Bing during your day and wonder what she's up to, how you always want to talk to her but you don't want other contestants to think that you're playing favourites, how you want to spend time with her outside of the show but you can't because it wouldn't be fair until the show is over, and how she inspired your newest track for the new Starship girl group.
