Chapter 4

"So what exactly is Gralum code for?"

"Pardon?" She asked confused.

"Well Slairia is code for volcanic mountain so what's Gralum code for?" Lasria chuckled.

"It's code for cavernous mountain." I rolled my eyes.

"You people and mountains." Lasria laughed and soon we approached the boarders of Gralum. We slowed our horses to a walk and when we where just steps away from the edge, we climbed off our horses and led them by the reigns.

"Where are they?"

"Hiding probably. I don't blame them, Erebus' forces could attack at any minute." I then noticed some movement in a crevasse.

"Hello? Anyone there? I won't hurt you!" I called out. I saw a child walking towards us, she was crying. I got down on my knees so I could be eye to eye with her.

"Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you. Where at your parents?"

She showed me her palms which where all scratched up.

"Would you like me to make you feel better?" She nodded. I placed my hands above hers and healed the scratches.

"There better?" She smiled and ran towards the caves. Then more and more dwarfs walked towards us. Lasria put a hand on her sword and I smacked her hand.

"Ow." I pointed at the dwarfs. One walked towards me with a sword.

"Hey, I won't hurt you. Do they speak English?" I asked Lasria.

"I think so. They won't talk to us until their chief gives them the okay." I nodded and held out my hands, palms towards the sky.

"I'm a healer." I showed them my magic.

"Healer." The guy with the sword repeated. I nodded.

"I came here to help you. My friend is here to help me. You can trust us." The man with the sword nodded at the group behind him.

"Welcome to Gralum. What is your name?"

"My name is Alena and my friend is Lasria."

"I am Chief Micha." He put away his sword and shook my hand.

"It's nice to meet you Chief Micha. I can assure you that neither of us are joined with Erebus." The crowed was shocked I said his name.

"Erebus? Is that the darkness king?" I nodded.

"I am looking for my uncle Jespar but until I know where he is, I am moving from kingdom to kingdom. Hoping to find a hint or a clue as to where he is."

"We can provide you a temporary place to stay until then. Now if you excuse me." Micha walked off and his people started surrounding us. They bombarded us with gifts and praise.

"Um Lasria, what are we suppose to do?" I asked confused.

"Be polite." Then I heard the sounds of horns. The people cleared the way and a group of soldiers walked towards us, dragging a girl wearing light grey clothing.

"And how do you suppose we should punish this common criminal?" One of the dwarf knights asked yanking the girls head up. She had tanned skin, dark caramel hair and grey eyes. I looked up at the knights.

"And what offence has she done?"

"She tamed this wild beast and we believe that it is the cause of all our missing supplies." They had a white tiger on a chain.

"Release them both. We shall deal with them." Lasria told them.

"Are you alright?" I asked the dwarf girl.
