We found the girl siting on a dock staring at the water. "Hey, you alright?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm fine just embarrassed. I've spent so long practicing for that rite of passage and I couldn't do it. The bad part is that was my second time, if I fail the third then I can't try again until next year." I placed a hand on her shoulder.

"My names Alena I'm from Vanem. If you want my friends and I can help you."

"You can?!" She exclaimed turning around quickly to look at all of us.

"Of course!" Ruby exclaimed.

"We help everyone." Amaris joined in.

"Thank you do much!" The girl exclaimed jumping up and hugging all of us.

"My names Nerissa and the rest of you?" After we all told her our names she decided to give us nicknames.

"So Lena, what do you think we should do first?" Nerissa asked bouncing a little.

"Well music comes from the heart." Shanira answered.

"So we need to help you feel the main emotions. Happiness, sadness, anger and of course love." Lasria calculated.

"There's a luau going on, would you guys like to go?"

"Heck yeah! Party time!" Shanira exclaimed.

"Well looks like we're going." Amaris said uninterested.

"Alright girls, let's go." Nerissa exclaimed. We easily walked into the party, we all sat down at a table.

"I'll order drinks for you guys!" Nerissa exclaimed talking to a waitress who brought us back wooden cups with a pink liquid that tasted like cream soda.

"Come on girls let's go dance!" Shanira exclaimed grabbing everyone except mines hand and dragging them to the dance floor.

"Help me." Lasria begged making me chuckle and shake my head. She glared at me and joined the party.

"You too." Amaris said grabbing my wrist while she and Ruby dragged me into the mass of dancing people.

"Come on girl! Dance your butt off!" Shanira exclaimed as I started to dance with them. I accidentally walked backwards into someone.

"Sorry."

"Hey honey how would you like to go home with a real siren?" A drunken guy asked.

"No thanks I'm good."

"Awwww come on baby."

"I would prefer if you kept your hands off her." I heard a male voice say as he hugged me from behind.

"Oh sorry man." The guy wandered off and I spun around.

"I could have handled that myself."

"Apparently not. That guy high tailed it as soon as he saw me." Kian reasoned.

"Yeah whatever." I said shaking his arm off and walking away.

"Don't worry she'll come around!" Nerissa cried out.

"Shut up." I muttered punching her in the shoulder.

"Owie!" She exclaimed.

"Sorry! I just...don't want him to think I'm warming up to him."

"Looks like you were." Amaris said joining our conversation.

"That and I didn't want all my friends to see." I muttered face palming.
