Heroes of Esllar(COMPLETED)

Chapter 5

Chief Micha and the rest of the city awaited our return. Hubert was the first to greet us. "The heroes have returned!"

"Hubert, come here." I placed my hands on his eyes and when I moved them he could see.

"I...I can see!" He started to cry as he hugged me.

"Thank you so much Alena!" He exclaimed before returning to his home.

"So you have defeated the beast."

"I have."

"You have permission to take Ruby and her pet-." Mina growled at Micha.

"I mean friend, to save Esllar." Everyone cleared the way and as we walked through everyone apologized to Ruby and Mina. Lasria and I climbed onto our horses as Ruby climbed onto the back of Mina.

"Where to next?"

"Xoulum. Land of the moon elves."

"Then we ride. To Xoulum!" I yelled before Lasria slapped my horses butt.

"GOD DAMNIT!" I yelled as my horse cantered ahead while Lasria and Ruby's rides chased after mine. When we finally stopped out horses on the outskirts of Xoulum I felt a chill run down my spine.

"Why does this place look so depressing?" I asked noting the tall, dark trees and wilting mushrooms. Even the grass was black!

"Moon elves thrive in darkness. Come, let's walk the rest of the way." We climbed down from our rides and walked the rest of the way, leading the steeds behind us.

"So Moon Elves what are they known for?" I asked.

"Well they're very stealthy and they'll only take us to their hidden home when they give us the okay." I heard a faint noise and apparently so did Lasria because she put her hand on her sword's hilt. I noticed movement amongst the trees and moved towards them slowly.

"Ruby, does Mina see anything? Her vision is better then ours."

"She sees a bunch of humans being chased."

"Let's go." We climbed into our steeds and raced off after the humans. We cut the humans off and jumped from our horses.

"So what have you done now?" I demanded.

"Another human!" I heard an angelic voice yell out.

"Oh I assure we are not in cahoots with them." Lasria explained.

"Now let me repeat. What have these humans done?"

"They have stolen a precious artifact from King Osiris and Queen Selene!" The voice yelled out again.

"Is this true?" I asked one of the men in front of me.

"It is true." He said hanging his head in shame.

"If you return to them the artifact then you both can leave in peace." He handed me the bag of which the thing was inside.

"Sir, you have done good." Ruby said as he nodded. When the group of thieves disappeared the voice spoke again.

"Thank you." The voice stepped out from the shadows. She was about 6 feet tall, had purple hair in different layers, black eyes and pale skin. She was wearing a black and dark blue top, black pants and dark blue boots. She had two guns which she slipped into their holsters. Also her ears were pointed a lot more then Lasria's.

"My name is Alena and these are my travelling companions Lasria, Ruby and Mina." The moon elf raised an eyebrow but when she saw Mina she nodded.

"My name is Amaris. May I ask what brings you to Xoulum?"
