The Originals, Alone

Ch. 2

                                                        Ivy POV 

I held onto Marcel's hand as we walked through the woods. my arm being held above my head. I smell more vampires. I hear them. 

I stop dead in my tracks. 

Rule number one never and I mean never go in a situation that involves more than one vampire. it's survival 101. 

Marcel looked down at me he could see the hesitation in my eyes. 

"It's okay Ivy I know them." He said smiling down at me

"Are.. Are they good?" I asked hesitantly 

He looked down at me smiling knowing full well what I was asking. 

"Ivy they work for me. they will not hurt you if I have a say in it." He said kneeling in front of me. 

"I promise you. you are safe with me." He said 

I looked in his eyes. I could tell he meant every word of it. 

I guess you could say I have a sense about these things. 

I nodded. 

"Good." He said smiling then standing up. taking my hand and we walked out of the woods. and it wasn't just a few vampires it was a few dozen of them. 

A man with a hat approached us. 

"Marcel?" The man said looking at Marcel then at me. 

I made my self look as small as possible. hiding behind Marcel's leg holding onto it. 

"It's alright Thierry. This is Ivy." Marcel said looking down at me. 

Thierry looked at Marcel. they exchanged looks. But Marcel gave him a look. a look I couldn't quite detect. 

Suddenly Thierry kneeled in front of me. 

"Hello Ivy it's nice to meet you I'm Thierry." He said smiling at me. 

I couldn't quite decide about him. if he was good or not. but one thing I did know is I did trust Marcel at the moment. 

He helped me. and for that I'm grateful for. 

"Come on Ivy I'm going to take you to my place where you will be safe and we can talk about why I found you in the middle of the woods in the middle of the night." He said smiling down at me. 

Frankly I would not like to talk about it. but it looks like I won't have much of a choice. 

But since he is taking me somewhere safe. He deserves to know. to know everything. even though I just met him. I just have a feeling I can trust him. 

I thought as I looked up at him. 

And hopefully my instincts are right...
