Back home- Chapter 10

Adams POV

I've been waiting for Lily to call or text me back. Life has been hell without her. I just want her in my arms again. Spring break is almost over so she should be home soon. I haven't really left my bedroom since the breakup. I was getting up so I could go eat. My family knows I'm sad so they're not really bothering me. As I was getting the milk out of the fridge my mom walked out. "Hey Adam! How are you feeling." She said. "Not any better." I said gloomily. "Sorry honey." She said. "I just want her back momma." I started crying. She came over and hugged me. After that I ate and then I got a FaceTime from Lily. I dropped everything and ran into my room.
A-Hello?
L-Hey Adam...
A- What's up?
L- Last night I had a dream and a part of that dream I realized something...
I nodded for her to go on.
L- I realized that you didn't kiss Taylor.
A-I love you so much and I would never do that.
L- I know you wouldn't! I don't know what got into me. I'm so sorry.
A- I forgive you. I just love you so much. These past weeks have been the worst weeks of my life.
L- When I get back so you think we could talk about getting back together?
A- Yes of course!
We said goodbye and hung up. She would be coming back in two days. I'm beyond excited. I want to spend the rest of my life with her.

Lily's POV:

We were packing to go back to California today. I'm sad to say goodbye to my family in Georgia but I'm also excited to get back because me and Adam might get back together. Abbey walked into my room. She looked so sad. "I don't wanna leave." She said. "Me neither." I said. "So what's gonna happen to you and Adam?" She asked while sitting down on the bed. I was continuing packing my bag. "Well I called him two days ago and told him what I realized and asked him when I get back if we could talk about getting back together." I said. "And?!?!" She asked. "He said yes!" I said while jumping up and down. It sounds like I just proposed to him. She laughed and we talked for a little bit. I put some comfy sweatpants. Abbey did the same. Instead of wearing my contacts today I'm wearing my glasses. I hate them but I have to wear them today. I pulled my unbrushed hair into a messy bun. "COME ON KIDS WE HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH!" My mom yelled from downstairs. We grabbed our bags and ran downstairs. We hugged the family and said goodbye. We got in the car and headed to the airport. I'm so excited to see Adam again.

6 hours later....

We finally made it home. It was only about 2 PM so I texted Adam.

L- Hey I just got home.
A- Good. How was your flight?
L- Boring...
A- I expected that. 😂
L- So do you want to go to Starbucks?
A- Sure! What time?
L- Are you free now?
A- Yep.
L- Okay so see you in 10 minutes?
A- Okay. See you in a few.
I quickly threw on some jeans and a floral crop top. I put flip flops on and put my contacts in. I did my makeup and asked mom to drive me to Starbucks. When we got there I jumped out of the car and told my mom bye. I walked in and I saw Adam at a table. I walked over and smiled at him. He got up and pulled the chair out for me. I sat down and he went and got our drinks. I touched up my hair and makeup and I think he noticed. He was smiling at me. He walked over and handed me my drink. It felt like a first date all over again. "So how've you been?" He asked. "Miserable." I said. "Same." He said. "I've missed you so much!" I blurted out. He reached over and grabbed my hand. "I've missed you too!" I smiled and he kissed my hand. Of course I blushed. He laughed at me. I got up and walked over to him. He grabbed my face and kissed me. "I love you so much." We both said. Why would I ever think he cheated on me? I love him so much.
