Hospitial- chapter 8

Colleens POV:

When we arrived at the hospital I saw a glimpse of Josh. He looked terrible. We were following the men that were wheeling Josh in. A lady stopped us. "Who are you?" The lady said rudley. "I'm that mans wife." I said pointing to Josh. She looked at me. "Oh yeah? How can you prove it?" She said. I pointed to the rings and to Lily. "Still not enough proof." She said. I got fed up and ran right pass her. Lily was right behind me. We run into the room and see Josh. He is all bruised up. I go over to him and grab his hand. "I love you Josh. Please wake up." I said. Nothing just the beeping of his slow heart beat. The doctor comes in. "Hello. You must be Colleen Evans." He says. "Yes. Is Josh going to be okay?" I ask. I see Lily walk over to Josh. Tears are falling out of her eyes. "He should probably be okay but we still need to do some tests. I nod and the doctor walks out. "Lil can you call your grandma and grandpa?" I ask. She pulls out her phone and calls them. I sit in the chair next to Josh. He looks terrible. I rub his face. "My poor Joshua." I whisper. Lily walks over and wraps her arms around me. I rub her back and start crying. She starts crying too. "I love you momma." Lily says. "I love you too Lily Pad." I say. She backs away and starts crying even more. "Lily?" I ask. She runs out of the room.

Lily's POV:

When my mom called me Lily Pad it reminded me of Adam. I ran to the bathroom and cried. I miss him so much. I start tracing my cuts. Then something hits me. I look back at the picture and there is a date in the background. I recognized that date. It was the day me and Adam skipped school. How could I ever believe Taylor? I came out of the bathroom and saw my mom in the room on the floor crying. I ran over to her. "Mom?!" I said. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. She jumped up and hugged me. "I-I thought I said something that h-hurt you." She stuttered. "No! You didn't do anything it just reminded me of something." She nodded and hugged me again. Just then we hear something odd with the machines hooked up to my dad. We look over and the line is flat.
