{Bakugo POV}

We were in class, doing some math when Deku was called out by All Might.

"Eh? Me?"

"It seems the principal would like a word with you—! *cough*"

"Oh...okay..."

As soon as the door slid close, everyone started whispering.

"What happened? Does it have to do with the recent incident?"

"Maybe he's getting expelled?!"

"Why would he get expelled?"

"Maybe he was caught with adult books."

"Only you would have them."

I rolled my eyes as Sensei told us to shut up.

Why'd the principal want to see him all of a sudden? Don't tell me it has to do with Haru or whatever his name is. That situation was already figured out.

It's probably nothing. The extras are overthinking.

{Midoriya POV}

I walked with All Might down the hall. He was weirdly quiet.

"Why did he want to see me?"

He didn't reply for a few seconds.

"All Might?"

"Sorry, Young Midoriya, I was thinking," We turned a corner, nearing the door. "What was your question?"

I smiled. "Nevermind, it's nothing."

I guess I'll just go and see.

We opened the door. At his desk, the small principal sat. The couch in front of him was filled with people, all with different features that suited their quirks. I bowed as they gave me a quick nod.

"Have a seat."

I sat on an empty seat next to All Might, waiting for anyone to speak. I could feel the tension in the room.

"Want some tea?" Someone asked, handing me a cup. I shook my head respectively.

"So...why am I here...?" I asked, trying to sound as formal as possible. Gosh, what's going on?

"Midoriya-kun, we've heard about the situation regarding your loss of hearing." A woman said. I looked at her, surprised. "It's good to see you're actively wearing your hearing aids."

"I'll get to the point since I know you'll be beating around the bush." A man said. His voice was rough. "Midoriya, we've decided as a council that you're not fit for the hero department anymore."

Silence. The only thing I heard was the sudden thumping of my heart. What did he say?

"...What?"

"Your inability to do much without your hearing has been proven. Your fighting skills have lowered recently."

"Th-That's because I'm getting used to my new condition!" I said, wincing slightly. "It's hard, I've been living with my hearing all my life."

"You can't even talk properly without feeling pain. How do you expect yourself to do any missions?" Another woman said. "Lots of hero jobs can be sensitive to your ears, and if you're incapable of finishing one, you'll hardly be a hero at all."

"It'll stop hurting soon enough," I said, trying to desperately change their mind. "I just need time to get used to it!"

"And once you are?" The man with the rough voice asked. "What if a villain finds out? They'll see that as a weakness and have a larger chance of either kidnapping you, using you as a hostage..."
