Chapter 1

     Sadie's POV
   I walked to school nervously. Today was the first day of my sophmore year. I've gone to CederWood High since the start of my freshmen year, and I knew most of the people there, but for some reason today I felt like a stranger. In the cafèteria I saw my 3 closest friends sitting at a table talking secretively.

   First, there was Isabella Park, who we call Bella. She was a high standard girl. Her family was loaded with money, but that didn't make her an egotistic bitch. In truth, she was a caring person. Her undenying beauty did get her a lot of guys, but none of it got to her head.

   Next was Sasha Taylor. Sasha was always a strange one. Every inch of my mind was laced with a dirty joke. Unlike Bella, Sasha's family didn't have much money to spare. Despite having so many problems in her family she never let it effect her, which I respect a lot.

   Finally, there was my dark haired best friend. Sophie Gallina. We've known each other for years, and one thing I can say for sure is that she does not take shit from anyone. She's the nicest girl I know with a killer sense of humour, but if anyone tries her or her friends...It usually doesn't end well.

   When my group of loud friends saw me, they yelled my name, and ran towards me. They engulfed me in a hug, almost knocking me over. Man will they ever stop embarrassing me like that!

   We sat down at the table, and I pulled out my schedule. I saw Sophie and Sasha eye Bella suspiciously.

"What were you guys talking about?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing," Bella answered quickly.

"Lies. Anyway we have first period together right?"

"Yup, I think we have...math." Sophie groaned. Her expression went from happy to a dreadful in seconds when she remembered we had Math.

   The loud bell sounded, signalling us to get to class. The 4 of us made our way to room 217.

   We sat at the desks near the left side of the classroom. I was sitting beside the window with Bella on my right, Sophie behind me, and Sasha beside her.

   A boy with disheveled dirty blonde/caramal brown hair walked by me and sat down behind Sophie. I felt my heart speed up. Damn, he was cute.

   "Who is he? " I asked Bella quietly.

   "T-that's Leo Hernandez. He's Percy's best friend, how do you not know him? He's always with Percy and Charlotte," Bella explained, looking away.

   "Hey Sophie, long time no see eh?" a deep, smooth voice said.

   "Hernandez you've grown," Sophie laughed.
  
   "I think you shrank." He laughed.

   Oh shit. Even his laugh was hot.
  
   I felt the heat rising to my face. I took a deep breath, and turned around. Fuck it.

   "Oh, this is Sadie. The teenage version of satan." Sophie noticed, and introduced me.

   "Oh come on, she can't be that bad." Leo flashed me a cheesy smile.

   I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from smiling.

   "No...I think she described me accurately." I smiled sickly sweet, and stuck my hand across the desk for him to shake.

   He grabbed my hand with his, and  smirked. Butterflies- no. A whole zoo erupted in my stomach.

   Leo Hernandez. How have I never noticed you before?

Hi guys! I know i'm starting another story again! I know this chapter was short and it didn't explain much but just for a heads up the next chapter will be a time skip so yeah.
