In Another Life || Newt Fanfic

Twelve

"They should be back by now" Thomas says looking at the Maze.
"What happens if they don't make it?" he asks.
"They're gonna make it" Newt says calmly.

Thomas walks to Newt "What happens with they don't?" he asks,befire newt acn answer I say "Can you please stop asking if they're gonna make it or not? Your making me more anxious than I already am".

"They're gonna make it" Newt says to Thomas and grabs my hand in his.
I'm not loosing minho, or alby.
No.

After awhile the rain stops, we're waiting i front of the Maze.
Waiting for Minho and Alby.
"C'mon guys, cant we send someone after them?"

"That's against the rules" Gally says.
"Either they make it back or not"
"We can't risk loosing someone else" Newt tells him.

My head is leaned on his shoulder.
I'm biting my lips so hard.
Come on, please. They have to come back.
Oh no.
The walls.

They are starting to close.

"There!" Thomas points somewhere.
Minho and Alby.
"Somethings wrong"
"Come one Minho, you can do it!" Chuck shouts.
Come on minho.

I look at Thomas, he looks at me, I know what he's about to do.

Everyones shouting, I cabt hear anyone from the fear.
Suddenly Thomas runs into the Maze.
"THOMAS NO!" Chuck shouts.
The walls close.

He's in the Maze.

"What happened?" Chuck asks in disbelief.
"He just got himself killed" Gally says harshly.
Stands up and leaves.
So does everyone else.

I stand there, not knowing what to do.
They can't be dead...no please.
Newt wraps his arms around me and holds me, I bury my face in his chest.
"It's gonna be alright love" he reassures me.

"I can stay here Clint" I say he thanks me and leaves the medical wing.
I sit on a chair grab a book and read to distract myself.

"Always reading, huh?" I look up to see Newt with a cut on his forehead.
"What happend?" I ask, closing the book and walk over to him.
He explains everything and I go grab the stuff I need to stich him up.
I return and tell him to smsut on the 'hospital' bed.

"This is gonna sting" I whisper.
His face is only centimeters from my neck, I can feel his breath.
My heart begins to race, I can feel my face burn.
Good thing he can't see my face right now.

I finish stitching his cut "All done" I say, I try to walk backwards but he grabs my arm and stands up.
He's so tall, I tilt my head up to see his face.
He cups my cheeks hmwith his hands and leans in, he hesitates, but then crashes his lips on mine softly.
His lips are soft and delicate.
I kiss him back.
Butterflies fill my whole body.

Five seconds later the door flies open, me and Newt break apart.
It's clint, I think he didn't see us.
"Umm...thank you for stuching me up" Newt says and walks out.
I think my whole face is red.
I turn to look at Clint.
He's smirking "Don't tell anyone, please" I say and walk out.
