Twenty-seven

Thomas and gally went back to the city to get Teresa.
The plan is simple.
Kidnap her.

Really simple.

I'm sitting in the room where they are supposed to bring Teresa.
All of us are here.
"So you escaped the Maze? Alone?" I hear and turn my head, Brenda.
"Yeah, I really thought that was it, that I was gonna die, but hey, I did it, and I'm here, ready to take down wicked.
They found me and gally in a room after I escaped a Maze, gally was...
He was on the floor with a pole in his heart and he was stung, but they found us in time and saved me and gally.
They taught me everything I needed to know."I say she nods she looks at me I think she's trying to read me.

" Everything's going to be fine, all right? "she gives me a warm smile" Thanks "I say and smile.
I barley know this girl but I know we're gonna be great friends.
She's so kind and everything.

I look over at newt, he's looking at him arm.

Stay positive, princess.

Minho's right, juts breath don't think about it, everything's going to be fine.
You're not going to lose anyone.
He's going to be there with you.
Everywhere.

Oh, they're here.
Finally.
Newt walks up to he and takes off the bag on her head.
She looks at us and freezes once she sees Gally and me.
"Gally? Kara?"

"Here's how this is gonna go, we're gonna ask you some questions and you're gonna tell us exactly what we need to know" Gally states.
"Where's Minho?" I ask.

"You guys don't seriously think..." Gally stands up and takes a chiar.
And places it on the ground hard and sits.
"Don't look at him. Look at me. Why are you looking at him? He's not gonna help you" he says looking at her she turns to look at Thomas. She understood. Thumbs up guys.

"We know you have minho in the building, where?" I ask.
She hesitates.
"He's with the others in holding. Sublevel three" she finally says.
"How many others?" newt asks.
"28".

We turn to look at Brenda she has a card in her hand "I can make that work" she says.
We've all been assigned 'jobs' to do for the plan.
"No"  Teresa begins.
"No, you guys don't understand the whole level is restricted" she pauses "you can't get in without a thumbprint ID" she continues shaking her head.
"That's why you're gonna come with us" Thomas says.

"Well, I don't know" Gally says.
"We only need her thumb" I say Thomas looks at me.
"Right?" gally says and grabs a knife "Back off" Thomas warns.
"I guarantee she's so one a lot worse to minho"
"Back off" he defends Teresa.
"It won't make a difference" she starts "do whatever you want to me, you still won't get through the front door, the sensors will pick you up the..."

"We know, we're tagged"
"You're gonna help us also with that" I say.

"Relax" she says.
Relax? Relax my ass. I have a feeling someone's gonna die tonight.
I can feel the knife cut the skin on my neck. I wince. That hurts a lot.
"How did you- I mean, you didn't come with us to escape the Maze" she says.
"I escaped alone, I remembered the code and everything" I say not showing any emotion in my voice.

"I trusted you" I whisper.
She finishes and hands me a piece of cloth and I press it to the back of my neck. That stings a lot.
I hear someone approach "See if this fits" newt says and hands me the uniform.
I give him a warm smile.

I walk up to a room and get dressed, I grab my dagger and slide it down my boot.
I hear someone knock ok the door and opens it slowly.
Newt steps in the room and closes the door.
"Hi" he says.
"Hey" I say, I'm taking little steps forward and he's doing the same.
I wrap my Arms around him hard. He tightens his grip on me I look at him in the eyes "I love you" I say. Shuck, I said it, I really, really said it.
He looks at me and, without saying anything he smashes his lips onto mine, kissing me hard, wanting more.
Like it's going to be the last time...

We break apart. "Promise me-" he tries to say I stop him "Newt-"
"Listen to me, love" he says.
"Primse me you won't forget out smiles, laughs, jokes, conversations, tears, memories, about us. About me." he finishes, I can feel my eyes sting. I can't cry. No.
"Newt" I try to say he places him hand on me cheek "Please love, please" he says I close my eyes and feel a tear slide down me cheek he wipes it away with his finger.

"I love you" he says.
