Twenty-four

"Hey greenie" gally says. Thomas looks at me then at gally, gally me, me gally.
I look at newt and find him looking at me his eyes wide open.
"Gally? Kara?" Thomas says not believing what he is seeing right now.
I can't find minho or Winston or Chuck.

And again, my heart beats rapidly, it happens when I'm worried or panicked, I don't wanna use my inhaler in front of them.
Thomas walks towards gally and punched him right in the Jaw.
I try to help gally but he puts an arm out as If to say 'no'.

They guys load their guns ready to shoot at Thomas "Don't shoot!" I say and they lower their guns.
Thomas raises his arm for another punch but newt stops him directly.
"Woah, Woah, Woah! Stop it! Stop!"

"He killed Chuck" what? He-he didn't tell me this. Gally could never.
"I know, I was there he was stung and half out of his mind" Thomas finally steps back rapidly.

Gally stands up and asks if they will throw another punch.
"kind of had that coming "
"They were old friends" were.
"How? How is this possible, she stayed in the Maze and you, we watched you die" newt says not looking at me.

"No you left me to die"
"And if we hadn't found you when we did, you'd be already dead" I say.
"You were stuck on the Maze how -?"
"Everyone was dead, gally wasn't there, and I remembered the way to sector 7 and the code and got out." I say. "What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Minho" newt says.
"Wicked has him, we're looking for a way in" he says i nod.
"We can help you with that, follow us" he says but no one moves.
"I'm not going anywhere with you" Thomas says looking at gally.
"Suit yourself, we can get you through those walls" I say shrugging.

And then he follows us.

As we're waking Fry wraps his arms around me "I missed you Kara" he says I hug him back "I missed you to fry, and your hugs" I say he chuckles.
Newt still hasn't talked or looked at me.

What if he lost feelings? Or what if he hates me now? Taught I was dead and he was better with thinking I was dead, but hey, now I'm alive so I don't know.
"We got picked up by a team and brought us here" I hear gally say.
"This group's been at war with wicked ever since they took control of the city" I say.

We stop walking "he doesn't get a lot of visitors so let us do the talking" gally says " Don't stare" I say and walk.
I walk down startes.
Lawrence is cutting roses.
And humming a song he always sings.

"Kara, gally" he says not looking up.
"Glad to see you made it back, Jasper told me what happend" he says looking up.
I open my mouth to say something but gally speaks up " It was the slaughter, nothing we could do against those guns" he says, I nod, I feel the hair on my neck straighten.

Someone's staring at me.

"Who are these people? Why are they here?"
I open my mouth to answer his questions but Thomas speaks up.
Seriously?
"We need to get into wicked, Kara and gally said you can get us through the walls" He says.
Laurence look at me and Gally.

"Those two should know better than make promises they can't keep" I sigh silently.
And look at Laurence "Besides the walls are half your problem, getting inside wicked is impossible"he says.

Teresa.

" There might be a way " I say they all look at me.
" But it doesn't work without Thomas" I say. Thomas looks at me I just nod.
Laurence walks towards him "Is that so?" He asks "Yes" I answer.

"You know what I am Thomas?" then he whispers in his ear "A business man".
"I don't take unnecessary risks, why so why would I trust you?" Because he's the famous Thomas.

I still can't help but feel someone staring at me so I turn my head and newt turns his head quickly away, caught you.
"Time, every last drop" I hear.
Gallys looking at them with a strange face, both eyebrow raised.
"We have a deal?" Laurence asks reaching his hand out for Thomas, Thomas hesitates but then takes it.

"Kara, Gally show him the way, but take only two".
