~Still James Point of View~

Vincent stood still like a deer in headlights when I walked into the room. His eyes widened slightly before his gaze instantly fell after seeing me in my attire. I knew I probably looked attractive to him. Once again he started fidgeting and my smile grew.

"Is there something you needed?" I asked while entering deeper into my room. I could see him fumble over his words as he tried to gain the confidence to speak. I knew he was probably nervous or scared of what I would do since he entered my room without my knowledge or permission. Seeing that Tyson was on his dog bed looking towards us, I got the memo that he probably showed Vincent where my room was. Despite him having a bed in my room, he rarely sleeps in here. He normally sleeps downstairs, so seeing him coincidentally in my room with Vincent, I already knew what was up. Tyson looked away as he turned his head to fit perfectly on his bed. He knew that I had caught on to him. He's a smart dog, but he always seem to surprise me.

"I.... I...."I wanted to thank you for the bath and tell you goodnight." He said while tucking his lips back.

"He's trying to contain his smile." I thought happily to myself. "Your welcome. The bath salt I added helps me with my muscle soreness after work outs. So I hope it helped soothe your body as well." I said optimistically with a small chuckle at the end.

"It did. I don't feel as limited to certain movements now, or pressure." He said through a smiling impressed shrug.

"That's good, but I'm still taking you to go see the doctor tomorrow. I want to be certain your okay." I mentioned sternly but caring. After speaking, I could see Vincent look away and scrunch his lips down and to the side. Once more his beautiful face cascaded a blush.

"You know you look 10 times cuter when you blush beneath my gaze." I remarked in a flirty tone.

Vincent then made eye contact with me from my sudden compliment. "I'm sure I caught him off guard by saying that." I thought to myself.

As I looked into Vincent's eyes, I could tell he was yearning for something. I wanted to kiss him dearly, but refrained from thinking it's still too early for that. I wanted to go about making Vincent mines in a different way. I wanted to go slow until he was ready.

A few seconds went by before I took notice to the sound of droplets hitting my window.

I walked over to them and glanced between the curtains. "I didn't know it was going to rain tonight." I stated. "From the look of the sky it looks like a storm will occur soon." I mentioned as I closed the curtains back.

The sound of Tyson whining made me turn my eye to see him nuzzling Vincent with his nose. Vincent looked down as if he was scared and worried. I had only seen him shift his mood like that when he was thinking about his past with Peter. It made me worry as well. "Did I trigger previous emotions?" I questioned myself.

"Hey,you okay?" I said while walking over to him and guiding him face up to me.

"I'm okay." He said blinking back tears. I took notice to them by seeing how glossy his eyes looked.

I released my hand from his face and gave an "I can tell your not telling the truth," look.

"I was just thinking of something from my past." He mumbled while looking to the side.

"I guess he got the gist of my unbelieving look I gave." I thought to myself. As I glanced over Vincent, I clearly could tell he was bothered and saddened. As much as I wanted to ask further questions, I wanted him to be able to open up freely to me. I don't want him to feel forced to tell me everything immediately, so I decided not to pry any further.

After a moment of silence, I came to the conclusion that didn't want Vincent to be alone. Even though I didn't know what made him shift so suddenly, I definitely wanted to know I was here for him.

"Well how about this. I know you probably don't want to be alone right now." I mentioned while reaching out for Vincent's hand. Once I had his hands within mines, I gave them a genuinely caring tug. "How about you stay in my room for the night. I wouldn't try or do anything. Especially since your not officially mines or healed up yet. But only if you want to. I won't force you to stay, but if you do, you can."

I could see Vincent thinking hard about the ultimatum I gave him. He then looked back up at me and gave me a shy nod.

"Okay." I said softly.

I guided him over to my large bed carefully while maintaining my eye on him. I instinctively let him lay on the left side due to it being closer to him as we walked closer. I helped him sit upon transition to laying comfortably. I then turned off the bedside lamp and made my way to the other side of the bed. After getting myself comfortable in bed as well, I could start to feel Vincent shift around in the bed. It wasn't until a thud of thunder boomed that made him jump and roll over closer to me. I smiled to myself internally as I felt Vincent nuzzling up close to me.

"It's only thunder. It's okay." I whispered to him. I then again felt him snuggle up closer to me as another sound of thunder boomed. I wrapped my arms around his waist slowly and ironically, his breathing became steady as he calmed down. He eventually drifted off to sleep and finally looked at peace.
