Chapter 15

TRIS POV

"What??? What do you mean?"

"I mean, you're hungry and tired and sometimes I can hear you cry for no reason. I was just wondering."

"I- I really don't know. I never thought about that."

"Oh. Okay."

"I think I brought the extra tests back from home. Do you want me to find out now?"

"I don't know."

"It doesn't really matter to me. I have to pee anyways."

"Okay."

"Okay. I'll call you in in a bit."

"Okay. I love you."

I get off the bed and walk into the bathroom.

I open the cabinets.

I pull a test out of the pink box and stare at it.

I notice how bad my hands are shaking again.

Just like last time.

This will NOT be like last time.

I will be happy.

I am engaged.

Everything will be okay.

He's not gonna leave.

I take the test and do my stuff.

I call Tobias in and we sit on the floor.

Our breaths are the only sound in the room until the test beeps.

My eyes spring open and I jump.

I practically lunge for the test.

Then I drop it.

I shut my eyes tight.

"Read it. I don't want to do it this time" I tell him.

"Okay."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

I breathe in a deep breath.

"Tris? Are you ready?"

"Totally, man."

He laughs.

"Okay."

"So what is it?"

"Tris?"

"What, Tobias?"

"Baby number 3 is officially a thing."
