If you assume the person in the photo is around 5'8 (I'm not sure if this true) then the fully grown wolf is Cake Wolf sized and the pups are Cake Hound sized! That's also about what their body shapes look like too.
Enjoy this longer chapter <3

You were running semi-blindly. You forgot to grab a flashlight, and Chiffon was whining. Eventually, you slowed, and retraced your steps. You found the trail to the field, and stalked around the edge, Chiffon whining.
You finally got to the edge of Red Velvet's camp. He was sitting in front of his fire, humming and tapping his foot lightly. You paused, and Chiffon started barking excitedly. He looked up, panicked, and you sighed, hesitantly pushing through the brush. He stood up, eyes wide, and his mouth opened slightly.
"Heeey. Heh." You smiled, nervously, and you set the cage on the ground, fiddling with the door hinge. Red Velvet tried to say something, but it was made up of shocked words cut off after the first letter.
You finally got the door, and you opened it, Chiffon bolting out. Red Velvet drew in a sharp breath, dropping into a crouch and petting Chiffon as the Cake Hound jumped into his lap. He made a few shocked noises again, before managing a coherent sentence.
"I-I.. I don't know what to say. Thank you. Thank you so much."
You nodded, picking up the cage and tossing it off into the woods to be forgotten about. You glanced back at him.
"So... you've got your dog back. Are you going...?"
He frowned. "Do you want me to?"
"...not really. Everyone who knows about Chea is antsy around me. They probably think I'm a traitor. But I also wouldn't quite call you a friend yet..."
You leaned against a tree, looking down in thought. You hummed, before coming to a conclusion.
"..Tell you what. Tomorrow night I'm going to camp here, or around here. With Chea. If you can get her to trust you, it's up to you whether you stick around. Deal?"
He narrowed his eyes.
"Deal."
"Great. I'll see you tomorrow, then?"
"Sure."
You tilted your chin up, and turned, heading back to the castle. You heard Red Velvet distantly, talking to Chiffon in a higher-pitched voice, and you smiled.
