Camila's POV

I look up into the slit of sunshine from my 5cm by 5cm peephole to the outside world.

It was sunrise, and I still hadn't slept a wink. It was Moby's fault.

I had read this book over 50 times. Yet, I still feel that excitement everytime I read it.

Well something else excited me, something rare.

Finally, someone who talks to me like I'm not some crazed killer.

On second thought, I am a killer, but I don't like to see it that way.

I killed because I simply had to. He took away something apart of me that was worth more than life, so call it revenge. But I couldn't say this to anyone, I had to keep this part of myself a secret. I don't want anyone probing into my life, especially not now. I had bigger tasks at hand.

I focused on the miniture opening above, until I heard my name loud and clear screamed from behind me.

"CAMILA CABELLO FRONT AND CENTRE. SCHEDULED OUTSIDE TIME STARTS NOW."

Here we go again. I was so used to the screams that they just didn't scare me anymore.

I smiled, then slowly turned around with my hands locked above my head and my feet spread apart slightly.

The officer cleared through a number of locks, then finally opened up the glass door. I turned around with my hands on my back, and he cuffed me tight.

I grunt, "Easy."

-"SHUT-UP INMATE."

I kept my cool, and took a breath in to alleviate my increased heart rate.

Little did he know, I could turn this situation around quick and have him pinned up against the wall.

It didn't work out last time, they banned my outside time for 3 months. From that time forward, I decided to just let my frustrations aside, not acting on them.

Once we reach outside, I take a deep breath and appreciate the crisp oxygen I'm taking into my lungs.

The officer takes off the cuffs, and shews me off then separates himself from the barbed wire fence between us.

-"Go out for a run" he nodds his head in the direction of the field, like I was a dog.

I stare at him, grinding my teeth.

I saw a pebble on the ground in front of me, and I picked it up gently, flicking it up and down in my hand, staring in his direction.

He immediately tugged on his gun and I saw a hint of fear in his eyes.

-"Put that down Cabello, NOW!"

I smile, "Sure."

I piff the rounded pebble toward the distant basketball ring, having it break through the wooden backboard directly in the middle of the target square.

He was unaware of my strength. Until now.

He gawked at me, then stood guard at the door we came through, leaving me some alone time in the courtyard.

I measure the absolute middle of the courtyard, and plonk myself down on the grass, away from everything. Taking in everything around me, I lay with me elbows supporting my body, and I let my head fall back, the sun hitting every angle of my face.

It was so nice to feel warmth on my skin.

In that exact moment, my mind traces back to a time I keep stored in a gold chest in my mind.
