"Good morning!" She says with a yawn. "I'm surprised to see you here, considering how yesterday you just disappeared on me," Thalia says sitting up in the bed, looking down to her friend, who was wide awake.
"Mhm?"
"Yea, when I came back you weren't here, but Hades was. And even when I closed my eyes I didn't see you. Where you go?"
"I don't wanna talk about it. And don't tell me opening up is good for me"
"Whoa! Can you dial back with your moody attitude? I just woke up" She says wrapping her hair up into a ponytail, getting out of the bed, making sure to not step on Desdemona. "And well I know it's new for you and to you, but opening up is a good thing..especially when you have a caring best friend who will listen"
"I don't care. I don't want to talk about it"
"Back to being the Goddess of grumpiness I see. You get that from Hades"
"I wish you'd cut out the mythologizing"
"The what?"
"Trotting me out, like I'm something like my father" Thalia walks over to join Melaina in the bed, but sitting at the foot of the bed. "Melaina, the rude heartless Goddess daughter of Hades"
"Hey whoa. You may be his daughter and share certain characteristics with him" She says, stroking Melaina's leg. "But, that's not who you are. Ok, you're also half of your mom and from what I heard and see you're more like her"
"Then why did you compare me to him?" She asked now sitting up in the bed.
"Well, what's wrong with that? Minus the obvious reasons"
"He's a bad guy. Like I'm not saying I'm a good person or anything by any means, but the guy is well him and when you compare me it's like you believe that I'll end up like him"
"What? No, I'm sorry I never meant for it to seem that way" She apologized, squeezing her knee. "I just- ok look I know for a fact that I'm just like my mom. I get honestly my everything from that woman and well, to be frank, I don't know what I get from my dad. My mom remarried when I was a baby so the man that raised me wasn't my dad. But she always told me that he was a beautiful man"
"Get to the point"
"We are both the worst and the best of our parents, whether we like it or not. Yes, your dad is the literal embodiment of pure evil, but that doesn't mean you have to be as well. Your mom was a mortal woman with good sense and you have that"
"Mhm"
"Mel? What's wrong? I'm used to you being all broody and moody but seriously what's wrong?"
"I don't want to talk about it.."
"Ok well whenever you're ready"
Thalia patted her on the leg before getting up, walking to the bathroom, that was connected to their room. Hearing the shower run and watching as Thalia close the door, Melaina let out an exhausted sigh falling back into bed.
After a moment she gather up her tired body and made her way to the door, exiting the room, leaving towards the kitchen. She was in no mood to see him and Zeus must've been listening to her prayer's because she stepped into the kitchen he was not around.
About thirty minutes had gone by before she saw him.
"Are we speaking yet to one another or are you still upset with me?" He asked grabbing a towel running water over it.
"...."
"Where's the pet?" He then questioned looking around for Thalia. "Don't tell me she left us so soon"
