Melaina stabbed her blade into the ground. Her eyes look at Thalia's body. Thalia was slowly gasping for air. Her body hasn't moved, since Hades had easily tossed her to a mountain. Her life was hanging on by a thin thread with every breath she took.
Melaina quickly wiped away her tear as she spread her hands at her side, palms up, and lifted them. Great warriors from the dead rose around her. Melaina's aura took over the power, staining it red.
Her rage wanted to flare up. To ravage everything, like always. Melaina couldn't have that. She had to protect her friend and dogs. The warrior creatures surrounded her, staying at her side.
"Raising the dead, huh? This won't be a fair fight then" He teased out. Her emotions only raged more for him. Holding it down was like trying to stop a tornado with her hands.
Without a second thought, she sent half the warriors charging at her father. With a mischief smirk, toying in the corner of his mouth, Hades raised his sword.
"Let's go"
The warriors charged. Hades lifted his hand. His sword felt lighter in his grasp. He shoved his sword forward. His sword burned through the charging creatures. His swings were as effortless as he moved with ease and swiftness.
A few of the dead creatures disappeared into the ground, due to Hades, who overpowered his daughter's ability.
She felt powerless against him. Turning, she grabbed her sword and threw it in his direction, hoping that it would stun him. To no avail, however.
Hades seeing the blade, shifted his stance, making the blade instead impale one of the warriors. He then grabbed it from the body, now sporting both weapons.
"Enough of this!" His voice shook the ground under them, Melaina stood frightened at his harsh tone. "Leave us!" Instantly the dead was gone, leaving nothing but their weapons. "You are my daughter. I do not mean you any harm and I do not wish to fight you"
"You should have thought about that before killing her"
"She was gonna die anyway, but I do not wish to fight you, my dear," He says taking his eyes off her.
Without a moment to lose, she took this as an opportunity for her winning advantage. Using her mist control, she appeared behind him. "That makes one of us" Kicking him in the back of his leg, making them both fall to the ground.
Melaina and Hades got to their feet. Both breathed heavily as sweat ran down their faces. Melaina glared with sheer hatred. Hades kept one hand on his sword's hilt and placed the other partway down the blade, while Melaina picked up her blade.
Melaina growled. "I loathe you" She shouted out, charging at him.
Hades kept moving, not wanting to be stuck too long within Melaina reach. Hades grip on his blade allowed him more leverage and more precise thrusts, but it greatly lowered his reach.
Anger tore at Meliana mind. Anger for losing her mom, anger for being separated from her siblings, anger for having Thalia involved in all of this, and anger at the thought of her not surviving. Melaina wanted to unleash all her rage and hatred on the God before her.
Melaina ignored these feelings and focused. Hades was just another enemy, one of countless, and he deserved no thought save for his neutralization. He was no more than a steel practice dummy that fought back.
"You took everything from me"
Melaina cried, no longer caring if he saw the tears leave her eyes.
"You took my mom, and now you have condemned Macaria and Zagreus to the Underworld because of your selfishness. Killing you won't bring them back to me but at least you will be gone. Let us smile to death" She swore.
