What started in beautiful rooms
Ends with meetings in parking lotsShe checked her watch again for the umpteenth time that afternoon. It has been an unproductive morning and she doesn't want to waste the remaining hours of her rather least favorite day of the week stuck in her house and unable to work.
'Liar'. She sighed upon hearing that little voice at the back of her head. Thursdays were supposed to be good days no matter what happens on that day, they were supposed to be her favorite day of the week, well, it used to be, but now she can't really tell if her day's ever going to have something for her to look forward to. She spent her whole morning staring at the ceiling of her room and now she's running late for work and her driver is nowhere near the city she's in.
Her phone vibrated and she read the message she received. An hour ago, her driver texted her that he'll be around in an hour but now she's gonna have to wait for another hour because he's stuck in the middle of traffic. She can't blame manong, though. If only she didn't stare at her ceiling the whole morning, then she would've known that her mother borrowed her driver for the errands she'll be making. If she didn't hesitate that morning, then she wouldn't have to be late for work because as much as possible, Sarah Geronimo doesn't do late.
When she tilted her head back towards the direction of their gate, droplets of rain started to slowly pour on them and the curses that her brain was starting to spin around her head clouded her vision and she let out a hiss. Not now, please. Not now, she chanted but it seemed like today was not like her usual Thursdays as the rain started to pour harder than she wished it to be. "Shit."
Your mother will scold you for that, the tiny little voice in her head said.
Shut up, she but all replied like a psycho.
As if her day couldn't get any harder than it already is, the rain became heavier and heavier as she received her driver's message of not being able to make it on time and giving her some advice about calling her manager and informing her that she couldn't come to the rehearsals. Of course, the stubborn brat that she always is rejected the idea and started to walk towards the garage so she could drive her car herself and deliver her ass to work. Moping in her room doesn't look good on her, she needs a distraction, and her work will do that for her.
As she rounded the corner towards the driver's side of her car, she stumbled and her left foot collided with the big wooden box on the floor. Before she could even stop herself, the very first words she thought of escaped her mouth as she nursed on her hurting toe. "Oh, shit! That hurts!"
'He doesn't like that kind of talk'. The tiny voice decided to take residence inside her head and pester her all day.
As she started the engine, her stomach growled.
"Skipping meals isn't good for your health, you know." He smiled at her mischievously. "But here's a burger, your favorite, don't tell your mom." He wiggled his eyebrows at her before leaning in and kissing her on the lips and then quietly going out of her dressing room, looking around the hallway first, checking if there are people, and when there's nobody around, he closed the door.
Sarah gripped the steering wheel and closed her eyes. She sighed. Things were never relaxed when he was around but they get by, things were easier because he was by her side but now... she sighed again.

Meanwhile, Bamboo was at the ABS-CBN building rehearsing for his performance on ASAP this Sunday. His schedule was supposed to be tomorrow, Friday, since Pancho knew that he prefers resting on Thursday as well as other people he works with. Thursdays are his day-offs, he used to say. Now, it's just another ordinary day for him but who was he kidding? He just came in today because he felt like he's going to lose his mind if he stay another minute in his house. Alone in his thoughts. It's a good thing he was allowed to reschedule even though it was last minute.
