Sarah frustratingly scratched her head. She's been trying to perfect her baked cookies since after they had lunch but to no avail, it's almost five in the afternoon already. She had baked several batches of cookies before but she just can't understand why she can't get the right texture and taste that she wants this time. She's been sulking since yesterday and it seems like her husband took notice of it but can't pinpoint the reason why. That was why when he decided to go buy some groceries and other necesities after they had lunch, he knew better than to bring his wife along. Sarah can't blame him though, they have different biases in that saga and he never watched any of his movies as well, so he's not very much affected with her sentiments. It made Sarah more frustrated.

She sat down on one of the chairs of ther kitchen counter while staring at her failed baked cookies. She sighed. She wiped the sweat that rolled down the side of her forehead. She sighed again, wanting to cry so much but she just can't. That's why she decided to divert her attention to baking but she was very distracted, thus, the pile of raw and pitch black cookies in two of her baking pans. If only they were in a normal situation, she could easily approach the one person who would really understand why she's sulking now.

She was about start cleaning the materials and equipment she used when her phone rang. She fished it out of her apron's pocket after she dusted her hands using the same apron.

"Hey, don't cry." Says the person from the other line. The moment she heard that soothing voice, tears immediately poured down her cheeks. She didn't know what to feel, be relieved that finally there's someone she could tell her sadness to or be sad by it. She sniffed.

"Hey, hey, don't cry now. Sarah?" The other person called her name when she didn't say a thing. She just kept on crying her heart out while wiping her cheeks with the hand that's not holding her phone.

"Bambooooooo." That was all she could say before releasing another whimper while tears still kept on falling from her eyes.

Bamboo is getting restless, he's worried about Sarah who wouldn't stop crying from the other line. He regretted his decision of not choosing facetime in calling her.

"Hey, sweetheart, are you sitting down? Sit down for a moment please." Sarah noticed the endearment but she got used to hearing them whenever she cries in front of him, a blush still managed to creep out of her though. She sat down again.

"Can you drink some water, Sarah? Drink some water, please." Sarah nodded, but when she realized that Bamboo can't see her, she replied with an 'okay'.

"I'll be waiting." She placed her phone on the kitchen counter and proceeded to get a glass of water. She then turned on the speaker as she sat back down with a glass in hand.

"Feeling better?"

"Noooooooooooooo." Sarah said frustratingly, while tears still kept on falling.

"Drink up, sweetheart." Sarah chugged half of it. That did the trick, her crying slowed down a bit while she focused on drinking her water.

"You okay now?" Bamboo, asked her. Still sniffling, she answered, "a little".

"Still upset?"

"Very very upset."

She need not say everything, because he knows what she's feeling right now, and he understands.

"Is that what you do whenever Luke and Ysa cry when they were younger?"

"Yes. And it's effective, right?"

Sarah chuckled a bit and then sighed as she slumped her shoulders. Though Bamboo can't see her, he could only imagine how stressed she looked right now.
