"Coach! Ano ba?! Bring me back!"
"Coach!"
"Shut up, Sarah."
"Ah, ganon? Shut up pala ako ha?" Sarah bounced up and down in her seat, trying her best to annoy Bamboo who is driving, taking them to wherever he wants to take them.
When Sarah noticed that Bamboo seemed not to mind the annoying banging and squeaky sound she's making, she faced Bamboo again. "COACH! I said, bring me back! Ba't ba ayaw mo makinig?" Bamboo just continued to drive without minding her behavior inside the car.
They're on the road for 30 minutes now, and she's been trying to annoy the hell out of Bamboo just so he'd listen to her but Bamboo won't budge. Before this, Sarah was just sitting comfortably in their couch inside the Geronimo residence when Bamboo suddenly barged in and tugged her with him towards his car. She remembered how much she struggled and screamed to get away from him when Bamboo was trying his best to gently let her in the car despite her constant pulling and slapping. Bamboo, being on the upper hand, managed to let her in the car without her acquiring any bumps on the head. Bamboo immediately locked the doors and drove to wherever, so she had no choice but to buckle up. She remembered cursing him with the line, "PAPATAYIN MO BA AKO?! ANAK NG TOKWA, FRANCISCO!"
Sarah could see the familiar road they're taking and she is not liking it. "Bamboo, ano ba?! Ibalik mo na ako sa bahay! Ayaw kita kasama!" Bamboo looked at her with hurt in his eyes but he didn't say anything. He just turned his attention back to the road and continued driving. Sarah could sense seriousness from Bamboo and it could really be observed that he's just controlling himself from losing all his patience. Bamboo sighed.
"Sarah, let's talk." He glanced to where Sarah is but immediately turned towards the road again. Sarah snickered, "Talk? I don't want to talk. It's either you'll bring me back to my house or bring me back to my house."
"There's no choice in there, Sarah." Bamboo sighed, wanting to palm his face. "Exactly! 'Cause I'm not giving you any choices. I demand you to bring me back to my parents!"
"I can't, I won't do that." Bamboo made a turn, and Sarah knew, ten minutes more and they'll reach their destination.
"Can't? Won't? Sira ka pala e! Malapit nang mag 12 noon Bambs! Magsisimula na ECQ, alam mo ba pinagsasabi mo?!" Sarah looked at him incredulously, not believing that Bamboo could really abduct her without any permission from her parents.
"What can I do? You won't answer my calls, won't even answer my texts. I'm sorry I lied to you about leaving the network. I'll never do that. It was just a prank. I'm sorry you cried." Bamboo explained to her patiently but Sarah won't listen. "Nyenyenyenye! Prank mo mukha mo!"
When Sarah noticed that they have now entered a subdivision, she started to panic. It is a good one hour drive from her parents' house in Charbel and it's now 11 in the morning, if they won't go back now, she'll be trapped with Bamboo for God knows how long since the government might extend the 15-day quarantine and she doesn't want that. She's pissed off with this man for lying to her and she can't imagine being in one room with him, let alone be trapped with this kawayan. She rolled her eyes.
"Sarah naman kasi. I'm so sorry. Let's go back to our-", Bamboo wasn't able to finish his sentence because Sarah interrupted him. "Anong go back pinagsasabi mo? Ayoko! Ibalik mo 'ko kina Mommy't Daddy!"
"No. You're staying with me. Sarah, please." Bamboo pleaded to her before he made another turn then stopped in front of a very familiar house. His, for all I care.
"Anong stay? No way! Ano nalang iisipin ni Mommy at Daddy?! Ng ibang tao? Bamboo may mga trabaho tayo! Malamang magre-request 'yon ng virtual meetings! Tapos iisang bahay lang makikita nila as our background? Ayoko! Ibalik mo na 'ko. Saka ayaw kitang kasama."
