Yes, I'm grateful that Blue's returned, albeit not in another canon episode, and it shows that GameToons hasn't completely forgotten their own unique OC's, instead of relying on characters from source material from other games half the bloody time.
But, tell me that it wasn't half-arsed at best.
There were several instances where Blue just didn't seem to give a fuck about what was going on. It almost sounded monotone...almost.
Yeah, this is just a spin off side channel, so they don't have time to prepare the voices more efficiently in the studio, and Blue is just a stereotype of a completely normal player, but couldn't he have just sounded a tad more enthused? Is that too difficult to ask.
This was yet another major gripe I mentioned previously in my rant, btw.
To top it all off, he was the first one to be killed. Way to bring justice to a long awaited character, y'all...😒
Not a major complaint as such, but why the name change back to Blue?
Idk about you guys, but I think Monster makes more sense especially after the events that transpired in Revive The Dead, which was his last major appearance in the mainline series, which was about 10 MONTHS AGO, by the way.
The way he went along with NO's plan to cheat in their favour for that round, dicking around with the crewmates in the emergency meeting and just outright refusing to admit the aforementioned joining in a bannable method. Seems more like a fitting name to me than Blue. Lemme know what you think.
Blue would be more fitting if they didn't occur because it's meant to represent an ordinary, sane human being surrounded by weird and quirky characters.
Ugh...sorry if I seem pessimistic about this, but I guess I should've expected this bullshit after like 3 or 4 months now.
Not bashing GameToons for this next bit but this episode totally destroys my headcanon as to how Monster was in fact trapped in the Cheater's Lobby and escaped to get revenge on Player.
