Shoutouts to Emily-Cipher for suggesting this as a new idea.

Welp, it's been just shy over a month now since the planned release date for the new in real life series pilot/episode 1 to be released on NewScapePro's now most monetised channel, GameToons.

So, I believe it's time you hear my overall thoughts on what exactly is up with this unexpected delay.

Firstly...I have solely mixed feelings on this project, which consist of concern and hope.

Let me address the concern side of this. GameToons came out previously on Instagram with a couple somewhat finalised drawings with a blueprint background attached to them. This is in regards to Player and Veteran's human incarnations shown below:

The reason why I say 'somewhat' is because it boils down to these two being taken down shortly before the final date and also they keep changing the damn designs every time they do a different logic

Take Player for example. Ignoring the Five Nights at Freddy's Logic, because that was created before the announcement of the rough designs on Twitter, we got a pretty decent look at his human counterpart through both Squid Game and Poppy's Playtime.

Why on earth would they just change their mind on an actual mainstream design for the beanie protagonist, if the design was clearly shown on Insta? Easy

Because it wasn't actually the final design they were going with and they had to delay the series so they can adjust and adapt. They obviously took it down for a reason.

Personally, I think this was a pretty wack decision on their part. Why the hell would they get us so hyped up for this new series with an exact release date and then just...not release it?

I'm starting to get suspicious of a few reasons why that might be the case.

1. They're still too busy putting all of their focus and attention producing low quality, rushed FNF Logics, because of the views it gets them and understandably keep paying the animators for their jobs...(to still create the same shit animations even though the supposed 4x views doesn't exactly live up to the standard quota recently? Whatever...)

2. They got way in over their heads and believed they would meet the expected deadline immediately assuming this would be a simple done and done project, but just couldn't because they went "Oh fuck" and realised they probably were missing some key elements...such as newer designs for at least 3 other characters that weren't even posted anywhere to begin with.

3. GameToons isn't the only heavily focused channel. NewScapePro is a company that specialises in handling over 20+ channels. To work on a brand new series, just right out of the blue, would be a hefty task to begin with because they still have to keep on track and maintain the other channels, regardless of the quality.

Let's go back to the second point real quick. I know a lot of people have input their discussions on this particular matter, and I have to agree with them. This is an animation channel, at its core. A completely new series from scratch could take months, or even years to complete and finalise because you don't necessarily have a template to rely or fall back on, no source material, especially if it's original.

A bit off-topic from GameToons but Hazbin Hotel (18+ series avert your eyes young-uns), another animation series, took over a year to fully develop and release a pilot for. Even then, still only a pilot as the latest installment to this day. So, I could definitely side with them on the time aspect of things. Problem is, much like HH, the side series, in this case, FNFL is what makes the channel extremely popular in the first place and a focus on experimenting with a  new premise might drive some fans away because it's not what they expect. Some people just aren't comfortable with change a lot of the time...

Like me...I'm a big Smash Bros. fan, so when I see my character's recovery get gutted to the fucking ground because of one move's properties in the next entry, I had to adapt, not to mention how bizarre some of the mechanics are, which was a big turn away for some people, because the controls just didn't seem to resonate with them like they had before.

Anyway, sorry for tattling on about some random analogy. Oh, that reminds me. GameToons still haven't stated why they delayed the series even with my thorough discussions above. They've just been silent...and it's not really like them, tbh. Not even on Discord, where the higher ups are most active and tend to answer certain questions and address certain problems.

A few weeks ago, Matt came and announced some changes for the official Instagram account based on public feedback and wanted our thoughts since he is one of the lead creators there. The first thing that a user did and myself included following up was ask what the bloody hell is going on with the new series being delayed. No response apart from taking on board our ideas and actually utilising a couple.

Obviously, if they were willing to act on the feedback, then it shouldn't have been that mundane to answer a simple question while you had the chance. It's like they're purposely trying to avoid answering because either they know we're gaining onto them or the eventual response, if they decide to, will be extremely disappointing for us and might bring less subscribers and viewers to the channel.

Ugh...

Anyways, the hope side of things...

Quite a number who have read my previous chapters will know I held quite a high hope for the series to redeem the channel in some way, whether it be the redemption arc to one particular character, or the variance in the plot enough to keep it refreshing.

I'm starting to lose that hope, because it's been like what, 4-5 months now, and the quality hasn't changed at all, from my perspective. Seems to me like that'll transcend onto the new series at this point from like the 3rd or 4th episode in. Not to mention, I'm losing hope that it'll actually get released at all, some people even saying it could potentially be cancelled.

Don't take my word for it, because I'm not 100% certain.

Anyways, what are your thoughts? Do you agree or disagree with what I mentioned above?
