Modern Day AU: Lexa is afraid of storms. During a massive storm, Y/N comforts her. Short and sweet.
"Lex, baby, I'm home," Y/N calls, entering the house she shares with her wife, Lexa.
"In the living room," Lexa replies.
Y/N heads into the living room. She finds her wife under a huge pile of blankets, hiding from the raging thunderstorm outside. Lexa has always hated thunderstorms, ever since she was a little girl. Y/N has always found it amusing, what with Lexa being perceived as a tough badass by their friends and family, and Anya, Lexa's sister, and Y/N tease Lexa about it sometimes, much to the brunette's dismay.
"Oh baby," Y/N says, trying her best not to laugh, but a giggle manages to slip out anyways.
"Don't laugh at me. I hate storms," Lexa pouts.
"I know, babe," Y/N replies, "Scoot over and we can cuddle,"
Lexa scoots over to make room for the half-angle on the sofa, and holds up the blankets. Y/N slides in next to her and wraps the other woman in her arms, kissing her forehead.
"How about we watch some Netflix to distract you?" Y/N suggests.
Lexa nods, so Y/N grabs the TV remote off the coffee table and turns on the TV. She puts on Wynonna Earp, knowing her wife loves the show as does Y/N. As the show begins to play, Lexa snuggles closer to Y/N, who wraps an arm around her shoulders.
Another clap of thunder sounds, and Lexa flinches, hiding under the blankets again. Y/N shushes her gently, placing a kiss on her head. Y/N begins to sing softly, knowing it calms her wife. Sure enough, Lexa soon falls asleep in Y/N's arms.
Not wanting to wake the brunette, Y/N decides they will sleep on the couch tonight. She turns off the TV, and snuggles further into Lexa. She falls asleep as well, Lexa in her arms, protected from the storm outside.
