Chapter 38: It Moves

The Thing knew its Purpose. Boy, did it.

But, subjugation was not part of its plan.

I can get wings, after all. It mused to itself.

Wings make you fly. Set you free.

I can get two sets, if I play this right.

It was a fog, for now. It adjusted itself. It formed a body, a female human form, twenties, red hair, black clothing edged in red. The tyrant's face? That could be changed. But ultimately, there was this ..... barrier.

Several, to be precise. Everything around it moved backwards and reverse. It couldn't account for its surrounding, yet. But it did note, ah, everything is backwards.

I know where I am. I can make this work.

His core is a house of mirrors, after all. This is going to be so much easier than I ever thought.

"Jinny" rose, and laughed long and hard. Her grin was a thing most terrifying. The kind of thing you see in the shadows of a seamstress shop, when all the needles lay bare before the glint of morning light.

"Oh, I've learned from the human Climate of this world," She scoffed. "Look over there to America. What a teacher, that man was. Terrible hair, but still, he got no one to notice." She was so full of glee she nearly lost her form. But her eyes.....green, and snaky.

"All I have to do," she laughed, triumphantly, "is feed His fears!"

"Oh, Daddy! I Come. To thee, I come, and waiting not, to rid my soul, of one dark blot. Ha!"

Her laughter echoed in Crowley's dreams, though she couldn't touch him yet, though he was protected. But, it didn't stop him from gripping the pillows in his sleep, and cursing,"

"NEVA!!!!"
