The ground from beneath her feet shifted, as Raavi took support of the chair nearby.

"Kya?!" She whisper-yelled, unable to believe her ears.

"Hum abhi Dr. Pal ke paas se hoke aa rahe hai." Dhara explained. "Unhone kaha ki tera amnocent-amino kuch test karaya tha, aur usme baby ko Autism hone ke high chances hai."

Raavi sighed in relief. So she had heard it wrong. "Autism?! Mai toh darr gayi, mujhe laga aapne abortion bola."

Dhara exchanged a weird look with Gautam, before clearing her throat. "Maine abortion hi bola."

Raavi's mind went blank. She blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice. It was quite a while before it sank it.

"Abor- par kyu? Aisa kya ho gaya? Autism sunke darr gaye aap?" Raavi almost yelled, because this was making her tense.

"Baccha agar ho toh swasth ho, bas. Yahi chahiye tha hume. Bacche ko agar autism hoga toh hum kaise sambhaalenge?" Gautam answered, making Raavi frown in disgust.

"Toh? Toh kya? Iss ghar mein 8 log rehte hai, Gaumbi. 8 log milke ek bacche ko help nahi kar sakte? Issi ki wajah se apne bacche ko maarna chahte ho aap?" Raavi yelled, which caused everyone to assemble in the open space, except Shiva.

"Ye kya maarne-marne ki ashubh baate kar rahi hai tu?" Suman shrieked, while Dhara explained the situation.

Raavi shook her head, getting these negative thoughts out of her head, hoping that everyone would drill some common sense into Dhara and Gautam.

But she hoped from the wrong people.

"Ae Raavi," Suman called out angrily, "Toh galat kya bola dono ne? Abhi bhi tem hai na?"

"Raavi," Rishita piped up from the other side, "Hum sab apne kaam mein busy honge, toh baby ke liye time kaise nikaalenge? Especially jab usse zyaada attention dena padega."

Raavi was dumbstruck. A sharp pain rose in her chest as she heard all these senseless statements. She stared at all these heartless people hearing the crap that was coming out of their cursed mouths, before finding her voice.

Enough was enough.

"Aap logo ko sharam nahi aati?!" She raised her voice, "Ek bacche ko thukra diya kyuki woh baaki sab jaisa nahi hoga? Suman kaki," Raavi turned towards her, "agar aapke 4 baccho mein se ek bhi alag paida hota, toh kya aap usse thukra deti? Uss bacche ko apne aap se door kar deti?"

"Apni kaali zubaan se mere baccho pe nazar mat laga, samjhi." Suman retorted, not answering her question.

"Dhara Di, kya aapko iss baby se attachment nahi hai? Agar ye aapke pet mein hota, tab bhi aap yehi karti?" Raavi asked, her confidence waning. "Kya aapko iske dil ki dhadkan sunke excitement nahi hoti? Har mahine kuch naya development hota hai iske body mein, ye dekh ke aapko khushi nahi hoti? Kya aapko isse zara si bhi attachment nahi hai?"

"Nahi hai. Bilkul nahi hai." Dhara stated, with a look that was anything but remorse. That lady didn't have any. "Kyuki baby tere paas hai aur tu zyaada attached hai. Isliye itne aasaani se keh paa rahi hu, abort kara de. Mere aur Gaumbi ke liye asaan ho jaayega, tu aur complicate mat kar."

"ASAAN? COMPLICATE?" Raavi shrieked, her eyes burning and going red, her entire body and soul giving up, as she stepped away from everyone there. "Bas. Mujhe kuch nahi sunna. Aap logo se kuch bhi expect karna, diwar pe sar fodne jaisa hai."

She turned to walk away, but had one final thing to say.

"You know what, Dhara di? Aap aur Gaumbi maa baap banne ke laayak nahi ho."
