  This isn't good. Wait, don't be scared. You didn't cheat. He just slept in your room drunk and you guys were alone and oh no, I'm fucked.

"Jace calm down." James tried to calm him down.

"What happened?" Jace asked.

"Can we talk outside?" I asked Jace. He held my hand and dragged me out to the garden.

"Okay so i met Kelvin in Yale and ....." He is pacing. Damn!

"And we just catched up and drank coffee." I said.

"You guys went on a date?" He asked.

"No. We just hung out. Nothing special." I replied.

"And?" He asked.

"Don't be mad please. But,  Kelvin came to the hotel room drunk and i just had to lay him down. He didn't touch me, and nothing happened." I replied.

I closed my eyes waiting for him to talk. But when I heard nothing. I looked up.

He was just staring at me. He is mad, i could see it in his eyes, and hurt too.

"Jace?" I asked.

He closed his eyes as if to calm himself.

"He came to the hotel?" He asked. I nod.

"Drunk?" He asked again. I nod.

He put his hands on my shoulders looking at me intently.

"But,  James was there right?" He asked.

I looked down.

I felt his arm move away from my shoulders.

God please don't let us fight🙏.

"You guys were alone?" He asked.

I promise to go back to church🙏.

"Jace......"

"Is that why you didn't pick my calls?" He asked.

God! Noo!

"Is that what you 'were busy' with?" He spat.

"Jace. Trust me. I didn't do anything." I said.

"Elizabeth. Calm down, calm down. And just be real okay. Did you guys kiss?" He asked. What?

"No. Jace what do you think of me? I would never......."

"Because I was like Kelvin once." He cut in.

I sighed.

"What?" I asked.

He sighed.

"I was like Kelvin before. And you cheated on ........."

"So, you are calling me a cheat?" I asked him. Tears spilling from my eyes.

"No no, don't do that. I'm the one hurting here." Jace said.

"Not until you called me a fucking cheat. You asshole!!" I yelled pushing his chest.

"So because i cheated on my ex with you? I'm now a cheat? Do you even trust me?" I asked.

"I said. I. DIDN'T. CHEAT. ON. YOU!!" I said.

"Elizabeth........"

"Don't." I said tears gushing out as my heart ached.

His shoulders dropped as if helpless. I sniffled.

"Don't cry." He said moving close to me. I moved back.

"I know i cheated on Kelvin with you. And even then, I felt so guilty. But i really really liked you. And i still do. But I'm not that an awful person." I said.
