So that's not what I was really expecting. I'm lost for words. I looked at Cinnamon who looked at me, then at James.

"I need water. I'm patched!!" She said and went to the kitchen. I looked at James.

"What do you mean you liked her once?" Cin asked him coming out of the kitchen.

"It's nothing serious Cin." James yelled.

"I know. It's just are you just sure you don't like her anymore?" She said and sat on the couch.

"Yes. It lasted for just a year!!" He said.

"A year!!" Cin and i asked.

"Yes but.... Whenever she touched me, my heart just beat and...."

"I thought it's because you were allergic to Canapes? And your heart beats too fast?" I asked.

"That was a lie I told you Beth. But lately, it didn't. And my heart is drawn to you Cin. I think of you everytime and I really felt like an ass when I hurt you!" He told her. Cin looked at me.

"It's fine. You don't like her anymore. So.... It's fine!!" She said.

"So.... I'm gonna go!!" I said standing up.

"Beth!!" James said running to me.

"You lied to me!!" I told him.

"And what did you expect me to do? You were dating Kelvin, and I was with Bianca!!" He said.

"Then why were you hurt when she broke up with you since you didn't like her in the first place?" I asked him

"That doesn't mean I didn't have feelings for Bianca. I told you, everything's just complicated!!" He said.

"It has always been complicated, but I never knew 'we' were complicated!!" I told him.

"It was recently I only knew I liked you cause I was blinded by infactuation. Cinnamon has always been the person I actually liked. You know and understand me, but with Cinnamon, it's different. Jace Helped me see that!" He said.

"You told Jace?" I asked him.

"No.... Not everything!!" He said.

"Okay, why don't we just calm down!!" Cinnamon said. I started breathing heavily.

"Thank you!!" She said and came to us.

"James, tell her you're sorry!!" She told him.

"Beth, I'm sorry. I never meant to lie to you. I just didn't want to wreck our relationship!!" He told me. I sighed and nod.

"I need to go!!" I said.

"Are you still mad?" He asked.

"No. I just need fresh air." I said and went out. That was a lot to take in. I called Jace.

"Come pick me up!!" I said.

"Where are you?" He asked.

"I'll text you!!" I said and hang up. I texted him the address and sighed.

"Iza. You do know he's over you right?" Cinnamon asked him.

"I know. I just...... I feel stupid!!" I told her.

"Jace is picking you up right?" She asked me. I nod. She smiled.

"Iza, breathe in." She said. I did

"Breathe out!!" She said and I did.

"James didn't say anything cause he didn't want your relationship to spoil and i understand!! And he doesn't like you now so..... Or did you like James?" She asked.
