"Get in already" Bryan shouted out the car window, I waved bye to Talia she gave me a 'what's with him?' look, I shrugged before walking over to his car.
"You don't need to be so rude" I said sitting down.
"You've been talking for ten minutes" He said
We were going to the hospital straight from school because Aunt Clarice had an appointment, it was just a checkup of how she was doing, and making 100% sure she's great. Mom told us to head there straight after school, and I asked Bryan if I could go with him, since I'd feel bad for making Luke drive me all the way to the hospital then drive the other way to his house.
Bryan stated the car, but then I heard someone calling out my name outside, Bryan looked in the rearview and rolled his eyes, I turned around to see it was Luke waving his hand in the air.
"I'm not giving him a ride" Bryan said, as Luke came to my side of the car, I ignored Bryan and got out of the car.
"Hey Luke" I said confused
"Hi, sorry I know you're late, but this is important" He said, I looked at Bryan who was sitting in the car, but he just looked ahead.
"Uh yeah sure?" I said asking for him to continue
"So um, you know how- I mean what are you going to be for Halloween?" He asked
"Uhm... I haven't decided yet" I said.
"Great- great" He said nodding "I um-you know because you're like nice so I thought..." He said, I was confused, Bryan rolled down the window and glared at Luke, but he didn't notice.
"Luke I will kill you, we're already late!" Bryan said
"No we're not Mom texted me that they'll reach the hospital in twenty minutes" I said crossing my arms, even though I was lying, we were late.
"Just spill whatever you have to say about science or whatever" Bryan said annoyed to Luke ignoring me.
"Uhm, ok" Luke said nervously laughing "Uh...so...Ashley I've started to like you" He said, I raised my eye brow.
"Gee thanks, for reminding me you didn't like me before" I said rolling my eyes.
"No! That's not what I meant, I mean like... you're really pretty and confident, and I love your smile when I give you your coffee" He blurted quickly like he had to get it off his chest.
I stayed silent, of all things I thought Luke would say this was not one of them, I thought we were totally platonic, I'd never realized he liked me.
"So... I wanted to ask you if you'd wanna be my date to the dance" He said timidly.
I thought about it, Luke was really nice, but I loved how we were friends, I could share anything with him and I loved his attitude, but it was just a dance.
"Oh ok- I mean yes" I replied, his smile grew wider.
"Okay- great! This is my first time so... as you saw I'm not that great at it" Luke said looking down.
Bryan scoffed, I looked at him and I realized I forgot he could hear as well, "Yeah we need to go now, so either Ashley you get in or Luke can drive you there, and buy you another coffee to enjoy your smile." He said with a straight face, I glared at him furious.
"Oh yeah, ok um bye Ashley" Luke said and walked away, I sat in slamming the car door.
"What the hell, Bryan!?" I said as he started the car.
"What? You have to say the guy is stupid, he's asking you to the dance, when he knows about us making out, stupid!" He scoffed, I suddenly remembered that day and shook my head hoping I could erase the memory, but it didn't help.
"Uh, that stupid kiss will haunt me forever" I said putting my hands on my face.
"Yeah, like you didn't kiss me back" Bryan said, I sat straight and looked at him, he looked at me.
"Bryan, that was a mistake ok, it was a mistake- I wish I never did it, but I did- so can you please stop making my life miserable and forget it?!" I said begging with my hands.
He looked at my hands for a while, then he took my hand and held it his his hand. He traced his finger around my nails and I had to stop my lip from quivering, his touch was soft and even just by touching my hand, I was falling apart. He laced his fingers with mine then looked up at me.
"There's no way you regret it" He said, his eyes were piercing into mine, they were full of the same intensity they were that day.
"Well I do" I said quickly slipping my hand from his, I hadn't noticed I was breathing faster, he shifted himself away from me and started driving. "So do I" He said, which suddenly made me unsure of what I had just said.
"Let's be friends, I don't want to keep the stupid fights going on" I said, I didn't want to hate or dislike anyone, but Cassie was an exception.
"Yeah, we are friends" Bryan said.
"Well... you were screaming at me to get in the car" I said with a smile, he looked at me.
"That's just who I am Snow" He said with a smirk.

"Okay I need a donut, now!" Aunt Clarice said
"Mom no" Bryan said
"I'm fine, I've not had any sugar since two weeks!" Aunt Clarice said upset.
"You'll get your donut on Halloween" Mom said.
"Can't she have half a donut, I'll share with her" I said
"Yes! Oh Ashley's my favorite, I love you" Aunt Clarice said smiling, Mom raised an eye brow
"Please?" I asked
"No" Bryan said
"I didn't ask you" I shot at Bryan, he rolled his eyes.
"Fine, but she can have only a quarter" Mom said shaking her head, I ran to the kitchen to grab one of the mouth watering chocolate donuts. I cut for pieces with a shiny knife and gave one to Aunt Clarice. She was smiling like a 5-year-old. I gave one to Mom and sat on the couch eating the other two. Bryan stood in front of me with his hand out.
"What" I asked
"I get a piece" He demanded, I laughed and shook my head, before he could snatch one I went upstairs and went into Bryan room. This was the first time I was in his room this year, which was weird because I would always be in here last year, usually messing with his stuff, and now there still wasn't much difference except for all his gaming equipment moved to Ben's room.
I heard someone coming up the stairs and I knew it was Bryan, he came into his room and stood in front of me, with his hand out.
"Sharing is caring" He said
"It's just a donut, let it go" I said munching on it and then I did the same thing Bryan did when we were ten and I asked him to share his chips. I licked the donut pieces and sat there eating the rest. Bryan mouth opened and he looked at me with a glare, then before I could even notice he snatched the big donut piece on my plate and started eating it.
"Hey!" I said
"Jokes on you, that's gross" I said
"Nah, jokes on you I don't care" He said going out of the room "Besides I'm familiar with this saliva before" He said.
I choked on my donut then I threw it in his bin (There was no way I could eat after what he said) and threw a pillow at his head, he just gave me a smirk and went down. He just had to refer to it, and... like that!
