The next morning I woke up and found myself in my bed with my sleepwear on. I sat up as soon as I remembered last night. Was that just a dream? But my question was answered when I realized I had a light headache, probably from drinking and sleeping so late.
I faintly remembered coming in my room and changing before collapsing on the bed, but other than that, I remembered eating ice cream with Bryan, after I kissed him...wait what?! I had kissed Bryan? Had he kissed me back?
I had forgotten most of what happened last night and I reached for my phone to check my messages. I had 14 messages nine of them were from my mom asking where I was over my curfew, four from Talia where I was and one from Luke apologizing for not being able to go to the 'dance' with me. I honestly was kind of happy he didn't come, but I wasn't sure where that put me and Bryan in this weird friendship or whatever we called it.
Suddenly I heard someone knock on the window, I looked up from my phone and it was Bryan, he was knocking on the window with a wide smile and a paper bag in his hand. I got out of bed and went across the room to open the window for him.
"Thank god you were awake, I don't think I could stand out there much longer in just a t-shirt" He said putting the bag on my desk as well as a cup of coffee I didn't know he brought as well. Then he turned towards me and smiled.
"Morning girlfriend" He said.
"W-wh-what?" I stuttered at his words, he then sighed.
"Guess you don't remember, you were really sleepy" He said then he took my hand and asked "Ashley will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend" He said looking at me sincerely. I stayed silent.
"Is this a dream?" I asked confused, he lightly chuckled then he pulled me closer and kissed me, making me start to believe I wasn't sleeping.
"So, now that you know you're not dreaming, can we make it official?" He asked again.
"Uh- yeah, yes!" I said in the worst way you could say yes, but Bryan knew I meant it, so I didn't have to explain myself. He hugged me tight and I angled myself to fit comfortably.
"Now this is going to be really weird explaining to our families" I said cringing at the thought.
"Don't ruin the moment" Bryan said.

"Why do we even have to tell them, it would make life so much easier!" I whined.
We were going to school and debating what was the best way of explaining...us to our families. For most people this wasn't something they thought about at all, but for us it was huge as to how concerned mom and Aunt Clarice were about my love life as well as how Izzy and Ben would ship us. I feared Izzy and Aunt Clarice the most, they would never let me live in peace after this.
"We could, but it's not like they'll never find out, besides mom's been going on and on about how I should look for a suitable guy for you, it makes me want to break a house." Bryan said his jaw clenching.
"Did I ever tell you how much I love it when you get jealous or protective of me" I said putting my hand on top of his which was on my thigh.
"Well I'm happy it's amusing to you, but I'm going to explode if we don't tell them soon" He said.
"Okay, um how about we tell them together" I said.
"Yeah that's best, and we'll tell them right before Izzy's recital so they don't have much time to focus on what we say." He said.
"Yeah that makes sense."
"Do we have to tell our dads, I mean I have such a good relationship with him right now, and now he's just gonna look at me as the guy who's dating his daughter" Bryan said, I couldn't help but laugh.
