"Alright I've got therapy in a little bit. It'll just be an hour. Will you be okay here?" Sang-woo said and asked as he fixed himself up a bit. Gi-hun was on the couch skimming through a book. He nodded his head as he closed the boring little book.

"I'll be alright. I'll probably head out in a little bit to do some grocery shopping. Completely forgot that this week." He said, tapping his head to show his forgetfulness.

Sang-woo let out an uneasy sigh. He didn't want to think about the night they were kidnapped and he most certainly didn't want to think about the endless encounters with the salesman. Gi-hun noticed how tense the other seemed to be and he got up from his seat, walking over to the younger man.

"Everything will be okay here, love." He gently kissed Sang-woo's lips, "you have nothing to worry about." He said with a little smile. Sang-woo nodded before giving Gi-hun one more kiss.

As soon as the apartment door closed, there was silence. Gi-hun patted his hips as a way to get him going for the remainder of the day. He went to the now shared bedroom and got some clothes he bought that same day, nothing fancy. Most of the things he bought were more on the casual side. He slipped on the clothes and started to head out. With all the time he took to get ready, Sang-woo was probably gone already.

The days started to get...easier. Gi-hun wasn't getting any therapy like Sang-woo, even though the younger encourages him to do so, but Sang-woo was enough for him. Healing was a difficult process, and the art of letting go was so hard to learn. It was hard not to hear their voices at least once every day. It was hard not to miss them even the slightest bit. At least in the end, it taught him a lesson he wished he learned a long time ago.

Looking after youngsters like Sae-byeok and Hwa-young made him think of his own little girl and mixing those thoughts with the those games wasn't a good combo. Definitely made him step up his game as a father. He'd even hoped he would do well as a partner to Sang-woo.

As Gi-hun arrived at the main floor, he noticed a familiar face at the front desk. The salesman. Gi-hun made no noise, didn't even speak a single word, but the salesman turned his head in his exact direction and looked directly at him. Gi-hun could've walked out and ignored the guy but he froze up instead. The salesman turned back to the person at the front desk as if to excuse himself before walking over to Gi-hun, who averted his gaze to the floor.

"Well hello there, neighbor." He greeted with a little smile on his face. Gi-hun shot his head up and looked at him.

"Neighbor?" Gi-hun repeated, the tone of his voice showing how shocked he was. The former salesman chuckled.

"I believe you in the apartment right beside mine." He replied, clasping his hands together.

"But-" Gi-hun tried to speak but the former salesman opened his mouth to speak once again.

"My goodness, how rude of me; I know who you are by heart but you haven't the slightest idea who I am. Park Seok-woo." He held out a hand to shake, "perhaps our first meet wasn't the greatest...I'd like to start over if you're up for it." He finished, never tearing his eyes away from Gi-hun.

Gi-hun was unsure at first, almost uneasy, but he remembered he had this guy's card and that he'd keep a close eye on him. He also seemed to be acting like a normal human being now instead of some weirdo who wants to play ddakji in a subway station. Gi-hun took a deep breath and took Seok-woo's hand to shake, although Seok-woo's grip was rather tight and he held on for longer than a normal handshake should be. He let go and stood with both hands behind his back.
