The quickest way to gain readers on here is to read other people's books. I know what you are thinking? How is reading others work going to benefit me?
There are many books on here not getting read because they haven't reached a million reads yet. Yes, I see the irony in that.
I go out and read books that are not yet popular. The newly published, I leave comments and votes. (I don't leave comments saying check out my book, that's annoying)
9/10 people return the favour because they are looking to make friends on here, build a network.
Wattpad isn't like other social media sites. How many followers you have doesn't decide your popularity. You have to put the effort in otherwise, you have a 0.0001% chance of getting reads.
So the question is how much effort you are prepared to put in?
