things to avoid part 2

Horribly cliche plot. We've all read them: Good girl falls for the bad boy. Nerd turns into a hot, popular chick. A girl is abused by her family, but no one cares. And the list goes on and on.

If you are going to write these things, then add some originality.

Grammatical and spelling errors. A few are okay. They happen. But if someone has spent the entire chapter trying to figure out what every sentence means no one is staying beyond two chapters at most

A story with 64 chapters and no sign of it ending. Dragging it on for too long without a conclusion.

Including redundant scenes like the character waking up, brushing her hair, taking a shower, eating breakfast, and every unimportant event of his/her day in detail.

Having the character describe himself instead of subtly adding the details. Example: " I'm not very handsome but I have strong muscular arms and body, chiselled face, dark brown hair and intense green eyes. " No. Just no.
Too much description. When a writer describes something in full detail that's completely unnecessary, it takes up a ton of pages which the reader will just skip through. E.g. cars, phones, television. (My HD flat-screen TV with a 1080 x 920 resolution....)

Having a story that is 90% dialogue and no description.
