This does two things a) let people know they are reading a story that isn't going to get abandoned and b) the more chapters you have the easier it is to get the read count up.
Note
Please don't do more than 2 chapters that aren't the story itself. I promise you those character mood boards could fit in one chapter. We don't need 10 different ones and in the long run its off putting.
Book clubs
Join book clubs they are one of the biggest and easiest ways to gain reads and permanent readers.
It is also a great way to discover new books to read so win-win.
Milestones
Celebrate those milestones with your followers. Why? A) you have achieved something and let others congratulate you on that & B) people are like 👀 ok this is gaining reads I'm gonna check it out.
