You get your book read, reviewed and free promotion basically when they post their review. It also helps you improve in areas you need to improve.
Cons of this
You will hear things about your story and writing you don't like; this is difficult to accept, especially if you are only ever used to hearing praise from your friends.
So if you can't accept criticism, don't ask for a review.
