Chapter 2

Wu Xie took a deep breath as he twirled in front of the mirror to check his outfit. Wu Xie's not the type to dress up fancily but decently enough. However, going out with the hottest guy at his campus, he should dress better right? He did not know why he gave it so much thought. Anyway, he ended up with a baby blue sweater and a pair of jeans. He took another look at the mirror before heading out to the mall. Zhang Kylin offered to take Wu Xie to the mall but the latter refused adamantly because he thought it was not a good idea to let Zhang Kylin know where he lived. So, he opted to ride the bus instead.

Once Wu Xie arrived at the mall, he took another deep breath before stepping into the five-story building.

Why I'm so nervous?

Wu Xie shook his head to collect himself before heading to the cafe they promised to meet on the third floor. As it was the weekend, Wu Xie could see a bunch of families, groups of friends, and even lovers occupying the mall while he was there to meet someone just to retrieve his bag. Wu Xie wondered for a while if his social life was not as good as he thought. The loud chatters behind him pulled him out of his dimension. He looked around to find the cafe but he found it right away as he turned to his left. From afar, he could the handsome male was already waiting for him in the cafe. They promised to meet at 12 but it was only 11.45.

Punctual.

Wu Xie wasted no time and stepped into the cafe. The little bell on top of the glass door chimed when opened by the customers which caught Zhang Kylin's attention. He smiled slightly once he saw the beautiful male walk into the cafe, head-turning around to examine the cafe instead of looking for him but he never turn his gaze away from the beautiful male. Wu Xie smiled as he looked around the cafe. The interior was mixed between a classy and modern look which gave it a unique look. The smell of roasted coffee beans just hit him right on his nose which made him smile even wider. He blinked his eyes as he was reminded of his purpose. The brown hair male looked around once again to spot familiar jet-black hair. Zhang Kylin waved his hand to catch Wu Xie's attention. Wu Xie quickly strode towards the elder. The latter is clad in a navy blue denim jacket with a black shirt underneath and black jeans with a silver necklace hanging on his neck to complete his look.

Huh...

Wu Xie gulped visibly as he thought they were wearing a matching outfit like a couple-

Gosh, he could not believe his mind went that far.

Zhang Kylin just watched the male in front of him quietly. Wu Xie might not know his expressions always give away what he's actually feeling or thinking. Zhang Kylin likes it anyway. He shook his head then pushed a cup of chocolate frappucino closer to Wu Xie. Wu Xie blinked his brown eyes as he saw the cup.

'For me?' Wu Xie dumbly asked.

'En. I bought it while waiting.'

'Oh, right! Sorry. I mean thank you for waiting and the frappe.'

Truth be told, a chocolate frappe is not Wu Xie's favourite. He loved coffee; latte, cappuccino, Americano, mocha, cold brew. All of it. The day Zhang Kylin saw him was one of the days the cafe run out of mocha frappe. Therefore, he opted for chocolate instead. Chocolate contained caffeine too.

Zhang Kylin tilted his head once Wu Xie was zoning out again. He gently tapped Wu Xie's hand to snap him out of his thoughts.

'Wu Xie. Are you okay?'

'Huh? Yeah. I'm okay.'

Zhang Kylin chuckled while shaking his head.

'Cute. Do you like zoning out that much? Is face my handsome not enough for you to remain in the reality?'
