The next day, Wu Xie woke up with a fever.

Wu Xie's eyes squeezed shut as he felt his ears ringing upon hearing the alarm from his phone. He cleared his throat then turned to lay on his stomach. His hand frantically searched from his phone then shut down the alarm with his eyes closed. Wu Xie hoped it didn't do anything else except turn off the alarm. The sun already illuminated his room but it felt chilly and hot at the same time. His head started to pound too. The beautiful male groaned loudly before opening his eyes. His body felt heavy and flushed. He sat up slowly then touched his forehead.

'Fever... Stupid fever.' Wu Xie mumbled before clearing his throat. His throat felt sore and dry. He felt like crying because he really hated catching a cold.

Wu Xie's body could be too random to catch a cold out of nowhere.

One of the reasons why Wu Xie hated getting sick was he lived alone. It sucks to get sick and you're alone. No one would be there to take care of him. Once Wu Xie fell sick, it'd be the worst even though it's just a fever.

Xiao Hua and his ershu said he had a weak body and Wu Xie had no proof to deny that.

Wu Xie searched for his phone again and checked the time. He pretty much missed the first class already. Let's just skip the whole day. He yawned softly before texting a classmate to inform him about his situation.

Xiao Hua?

Wu Xie won't text him. The elegant male would nag him until Wu Xie got better instead.

Wu Erbai?

No... Nope. It's okay.

Wu Xie coughed slightly then rubbed his throat. The itchiness and soreness in his throat were bothering him a lot. He wrapped the duvet around his body then get off the bed, making his way to the kitchen.

He rummaged through the drawers and cabinets to look for medicine when he's actually had no medicine.

Nevermind.

He's not the type to take medication unless he's really at the edge of death. He tended to put it up until he got better. Wu Xie also had no energy to go to the pharmacy or clinic. So, he made a hot chamomile tea for himself. Like his grandma always said tea can fix everything, especially fever. It did make Wu Xie feel a bit better tho. He held the mug with both hands as he walked to the living room. After putting down the mug, he laid down on the couch.

Wu Xie was ready to take a nap when the bell rang. He furrowed his eyebrows but stopped midway since it hurt his head more. Wu Xie rubbed his forehead then slowly got off the couch when he heard the second ring. He was not expecting any guests. He heaved a sigh then slowly opened the door.

'Who..' Wu Xie blinked as he looked at the male in front of him.

Zhang Kylin.

Zhang Kylin stared at the younger male quietly. The younger male clearly didn't look good with his disheveled brown hair, sunken eyes, pale face with a tint of blush on his cheeks.

He stepped into the apartment then frowned slightly before touching Wu Xie's cheek. Wu Xie hissed when the cold hand touched his warm cheek.

'You have a fever.' Zhang Kylin said, more to himself.

Wu Xie rolled his eyes before turning to walk to the couch. He needed rest now. Zhang Kylin can do..whatever.

Zhang Kylin sighed then held Wu Xie's hand gently.

'Baby. You're burning.'

'No. I'm fine. I'm not dying.' Wu Xie stopped his steps and looked at the handsome male.
