After the heated incident, there's nothing on his phone. No texts. No calls from Zhang Kylin. He did send a few texts to the elder man but he got no reply. Zhang Kylin also skipped the only class they had together on Thursday. Wu Xie sighed, feeling his heart ached at the nonchalant action of Zhang Kylin.

Rumour has it Zhang Kylin already has a girlfriend.

Since it was almost the mid of the semester, the assignments were piling up like a mountain. Most of the students already made the library their second home but it was the studio for Wu Xie. He usually stayed at the studio if the deadline was approaching fast and he had not yet finished. One by one, the students left the studio to grab their lunch. Wu Xie yawns loudly as he exited the studio before stretching his arms. He ruffled his hair in frustration as his mind was full of Zhang Kylin and his assignments. No matter how hard he tried to push the handsome male out of his thought, the firmer his thought became. He shook his head again before walking into the cafe to buy his weekly dose of caffeine. The cafe was full than usual and Wu Xie disliked that. The cafe should bring peace to his innocent heart but seeing the crowd made his heart become more chaotic instead. Nevertheless, he entered the cafe.

In the middle of the crowd, Wu Xie could not believe his eyes when he spotted the jet-black hair and black pearl eyes with a girl beside him. He shifted his gaze away but he took a glance again to have a clear look at the girl. The girl looks so beautiful with defined features; milky white skin, sparkling dark brown eyes, a sharp nose, curved lips, and a small face. Once Wu Xie heard their laughter, other noises turned inaudible. The laughter kept ringing in his ears.

Oh dear heart, please calm down.

Wu Xie took a deep breath then stepped forward to place his order. He tried so hard not to keep stealing a glance at the couple. Zhang Kylin had been ignoring him the whole week and Wu Xie just found out he was with a girl the whole time.

The rumour must be true.

He was about to walk out of the cafe when his eyes met the stern gaze from the dark eyes. Wu Xie gulped visibly, thinking the handsome man will call him over. But when the handsome man looked away, Wu Xie's heart dropped.

That night, Wu Xie sat on the floor with one leg propped on the floor and a sketchpad on his thigh. Wu Xie was feeling exhausted as the week had been quite hectic and the intruder (Zhang Kylin) wouldn't leave his mind.

Since when did he develop feelings for the latter. He didn't even remember.
He heaved a sigh before checking his phone as he got a text.

"Puppy. I'm in front of your apartment. Can I come in?'

Wu Xie nibbled his lower lip.

How dare you Zhang Kylin.
You had the audacity to show up after what you did to me.

Well, Wu Xie gladly gave his room number to Zhang Kylin. He missed him after all.

Wu Xie slowly opened the door, looking at the handsome male in front of him. He moved away, gesturing the elder to come in. Zhang Kylin was still dressed in the same outfit Wu Xie saw at the cafe. He looked sad, somehow.

'Sit.' Wu Xie pat the couch. Zhang Kylin nodded his head before taking a seat. Wu Xie made his way to the kitchen to prepare tea for both of them. His choice of tea that night was chamomile. He loved the scent of the tea as it managed to calm him down. He held the mugs and walked to the living room. He sat beside Zhang Kylin then put the mugs down. He glanced at Zhang Kylin as the latter stayed quiet. He scooted closer, putting his hand on Zhang Kylin's knee.

'I don't know what's on your mind right now but I'll be here for you if you need me. Here! Drink first.'

Wu Xie smiled. He had no intention to probe the other male further. Zhang Kylin finally looked at Wu Xie, smiling slightly.
