Inhale.
Exhale.
Inhale.
Exhale.
The sound of another persons breathing consumed my ears as it grew louder, but where was it coming from?
A door.
I finally saw something: a door.
I reached for it and it opened, revealing a room with two winding stares.
I got the overwhelming feeling something was chasing me.
I started to run and chose the left stair case. I cleared the first flight of steps before making a sharp turn into the open hallway. I went straight, not thinking about where I was going, just that I needed to get away. I came upon another door and shoved it open, tumbling out onto a closed balcony that connected that entrance to another. I didn't stop running, dragging myself to the other end of the bridge to the next door.
It's getting close.
The door led me to a room that was red and gold accented, it looked to fancy to be any room I've been in.
I couldn't stop running though.
I ran out the door of the room and turned right down the hall, wasting no time. I ran through another door into a theater/college lecture type room. There were people there but I couldn't see their faces, or even really look at them. I was too busy running. I ran through a door on the other side of the room and into another hall. It was lit by a huge singular window; that was the first window I've seen. I take a left and run down the huge stairs and to the landing where I take another left to go the rest of the way down.
Big lobby area but no front door.
It's getting even closer.
I didn't stop moving, I couldn't. I ran right to a side door and down a staff-only type hallway, turning down another hallway before climbing another set of stairs to a door.
It was right behind me.
I ran through the door and swung it back as I kept running, hoping it closed in time. I had entered a room full of doors and I made a bee-line for the first door I laid my eyes on.
I got to it and
I gasped loudly, shooting up from my bed as my chest heaved, my hands gripping the sheets beside me.
"Hotaru?" I jumped and looked over to see a groggy Aizawa sitting up in the bed next to me, "Is everything ok?"
I looked at him confused and realized that we'd accidentally fell asleep together while hanging out last night. We didn't even get under the covers, I guess we really were exhausted from unpacking, "Huh? Yeah," Seeing him next to me relaxed me a bit, but there was still this anxious knot in my chest.
"Are you sure?" He put an arm around my shoulder, pulling me close to him as he reached across me and shut off the lamp that we'd forgot, "Did you have a nightmare?"
I blushed softly as I let him pull me back down, feeling him pull a blanket over us as he got us all comfortable again. He must've still been mostly asleep because his eyes barely stayed open, "Yeah, I think so? I can't really remember much."
I couldn't really remember much of the dream, honestly the fact that I even had a dream was weird enough as it was, "It's ok," he mumbled, holding me pressed close, "I'll kill whatever it is for you."
I stifled a soft laugh as I nuzzled my face against his neck, "I know you will."
