It was the week I had started at U.A. that it happened. I had finished the training the first half of the week so I was filled in on everything I needed to know.
I walked into U.A. for the first time as a nurse; at first I was embarrassed that I had to wear my hero suit, but something quickly changed my mind. I was walking down the crowded hallway to the school's nurse's office when a voice called for me, "Ms. Voodoo Doll?"
I looked, before turning, to see a young girl with lavender hair that ombréd into a darker purple and a notebook pressed close to her chest. I stopped walking immediately and spun around, walking over to her, "Yes?"
She seemed in shock that I responded to her, "I-I'm a huge fan, and I w-was wondering if you could sign my drawing book?" She was shaking as she held out what I thought was a notebook.
I smiled softly and gently took it from her, "Of course, do you have a marker I could use?" I asked sheepishly and she nodded, digging in her bag. I took a moment to open it and I was dumbfounded, seeing the first page had me standing in a heroic pose and hair flowing in the wind; it was crazy good.
"You have real talent," I stated, taking the pen she held out to me, "What's your name? What are you at U.A. for?"
"I-I'm Nazomi, and I'm in support class 1-B," she smiled and it reminded me of Miyu, "I help a lot with design."
"I see," I signed the notebook and closed it, handing it back to her, "keep doing a wonderful job. One day you'll do great thinks I know it."
She bowed to me giddily before running off to join her friends that had been waiting on her. I blushed softly as I turned to continue on, grinning until I heard distant yelling down the hall ahead of me.
"Someone! Help!" It was a young boy in white armor with blue hair and glasses running at an alarming rate down the hall, "Miss!" He saw me and skidded to a stop.
Without missing a beat he started on a tangent, "You've gotta help me, my class is at the U.S.J. building and it's under attack by villains!"
"Hold on," I put both of my hands on his shoulders to calm him, "What's your name and class number?"
"I'm Iida Tenya and my class is the hero course 1-A," he stated in a uniformed tone, "I am the class representative."
I had remembered Aizawa telling me about him and his description was 100% accur-, "Wait, isn't Eraser Head your teacher?" My heart plummeted when I realized what he said.
"Yes, please we have to hurry," he pleaded, "There isn't much time and when I left the teachers where handling it, but I don't know how much longer they have."
"How fast can you run?"
"My quirk is engine," he replied.
I grabbed his arm and started dragging him towards the teachers lounge, "We're going to save your class. Let's get some other authorities, then you're running me over there ok?"
"Yes ma'am! Not to be rude, but are you a teacher here?" He inquired as we sped down the hall.
"No," I pulled us around the corner, "I'm a nurse and I'm pretty sure my assistance will be needed, and fast."
We made it to the office, "You go in here and tell them what you know, I'm going to the nurses office to round up nurses and have them ready for anyone brought back injured. I'll also grab a kit so when you come get me I'll be ready to go, understood?"
He nodded furiously and ran inside.
After getting everyone ready and calling the authorities, Iida found me again, "Ma'am, I didn't catch your name."
"It's Akahana Hotaru," I replied, "Would you mind carrying me?"
He shook his head and readied himself for me to get on, "It would be faster, so I'm not against it."
I hopped on his back and he wasn't kidding when he said he was fast. We got to the building's front doors in no time.
"Shit," I muttered, looking in through the doors. There was so much damage it was unbelievable. Suddenly there was a loud eruption and glass breaking. We looked up and saw a large creature shooting into the sky, and disappearing from sight.
"What was that?" Iida exclaimed.
"I-," I looked back into the building and couldn't see Aizawa anywhere inside, "I don't know, but that's not important. We need to find everyone." I searched harder and saw a group of people on the opposite entrance holding a black form and I gasped.
"I-Iida," I knew I had to be professional, but my heart was practically breaking in half, "Iida I need you to take me to the other entrance."
He didn't question me as I hopped on his back. I started crying a little, but I didn't let it be known as we rounded the corner. I saw teachers and paramedics coming from the distance, but I need to get to Aizawa immediately. We came up on the group of students and I launched myself from Iida's back as he protested and landed next to a taller male student with three arms holding Aizawa to his back. All of the other teachers showed up almost immediately behind us, but I wasn't interested in them, "Hi, I'm a nurse, I can take him from here."
"Ah," the boy looked down at me over his mask, "he might be a bit heavy, I could help carry him."
I gave him a fake eye smile, "Trust me, I can carry him." With our training I could carry Aizawa's body weight and my own; his dead weight would be nothing to me.
The kid complied and set Aizawa on my back, "H... Hotaru.."
Aizawa let out a hoarse whisper and I hushed him, "Don't speak, please, you're hurt," I sighed as I started off with him on my back, getting away from the fighting, "you damn fool." My voice cracked slightly as I ran towards the school.
