"One moment!" I heard Mic call from inside and I started chewing my nails, I looked in to see Mic setting a pot down and I scanned over to see Aizawa's head jerk in my direction for a moment before looking back at his computer. I was broken out in a cold sweat. The door nob started turning and I knew it was too late to turn back then, "Hellll-oh my god." Mic was wide eyed as I looked up at him.
I gave him a small awkward wave and a nervous giggle, "Uh, hey?"
Mic's face lit up, "Aizawa!" He called, motioning for me to come in.
"I'm busy!" I looked and saw Aizawa roll his eyes as he kept typing.
Mic and I looked at each other with a giggle, "It's important!"
I watched Aizawa frown and save his document before getting up and pushing his chair in, "It better be because I'm in the middle of-." He stopped, both mid-step and mid-sentence, making it to the end of the hall and seeing me standing there.
He stared at me for what felt like minutes, "Are you ok?" I asked softly and that seemed to reassure him I was actually there.
"Yeah, I uh," He stammered and walked over to us, "I just, wow."
He was still staring me down and I felt a blush burn my cheeks as he reached and pushed some hair behind my ear, "Hi." I smiled and he finally pulled me into a hug.
"What are you doing here?" He asked happily, pulling me to the couch to sit.
I laughed as I sat next to him, Mic following us and sitting on the other side of me, "I filled out the paper work to become a nurse at U.A. this morning, and I live a few apartments down from here now." I stated, not breaking eye contact from him.
"That's amazing, so will you start next week, or are they going to make you wait?" He inquired, fully invested in what I had to say.
"I have to wait because of entrance exams and such because they need to train me before I can start." I replied, grinning from ear to ear.
Mic finally spoke, "We should grab dinner tomorrow to celebrate!"
I smiled and nodded, looking over at him, "We could go eat at our usual spot."
"I'm all for it," Aizawa stated happily.
Mic stood, "I was making tea if you'd like some, Hana."
I nodded and he walked off into the kitchen, "So," I looked back over at Aizawa, "What's this I hear about you visiting my mom while I'm gone?"
He looked off to the side with a sheepish grin, "That was supposed to be a secret."
"Uhuh," I laughed, scooting closer to him, "she also says you ask about me a lot."
"That's also supposed to be a secret; does your mom know she's a terrible secret keeper?" he asked with a soft chuckle and I shrugged.
"Probably," I giggled as he scooted closer to me, "she hounded me as soon as I got home to go see you."
"I'll have to thank her," he was smiling as we got closer, "it's been hard getting you in the same room as me for a bit."
I turned my head to look up at him and our noses brushed, I hadn't realized we had gotten that close, "I-I'm sorry."
He stared into my eyes with a stupid grin on his face, "Don't be. You look really nice in that outfit by the way; business attire suits you."
"I missed you," I sighed and our lips met but only for a moment, "a lot." Our lips met again.
We pulled away when we heard Mic coming towards the doorway, "I got the tea all fixed up," he paused, looking us over before continuing, "I'm glad you two are getting caught up."
I blushed and we shifted around a little as Mic fixed our cups, "So when do you start your first day?"
"Nezu said I should start about a week after you guys do," I took my cup from Mic, "Entrance exams will be over and everyone will have had time to settle in."
Aizawa rested an arm around my shoulder as he sipped his tea, "I'm not excited," he sighed, "I have a feeling this year is gonna be the year I lose my goddamn mind."
"Oh don't be so pessimistic," I patted his leg, "You're too harsh on your students anyway. May I remind you, you barely gave last years class a chance before you expelled all of them."
"They weren't even trying," Aizawa huffed into his cup.
I laughed softly, "Some of those kids are lucky I convinced you to keep them."
"I trust your judgement," he replied, setting his cup down.
Hinata and Ayame jumped up onto the couch, and nuzzled their way into the space between our legs, "Aw, I missed you guys too." I scratched the spot between Hinata's ears.
"Still weird," Mic called as he walked back into the kitchen, making me laugh.
"Do you know who your students are for this year yet?" I asked, turning back to Aizawa.
"Well, the only one that stood out to me was none other that Todoroki Shoto."
I gasped, setting my cup down, "My baby boy? God it's been a while hasn't it? Oh god I hope he's ok. Endeavor and I haven't spoken since I left and I only hear from Fuyumi every now and then. She hardly gets to see him anymore since-." I stopped and looked back down at the cats. It hurt to talk about prom night, it was like an old wound reopening so I just left it at that.
He nodded in agreement and sighed, "Yea, a lot can happen in five years."
"I bet Endeavor took advantage of the fact that I was out of the picture for a while." I growled and crossed my arms.
"Yes," he reached over and rubbed my arm, pulling me closer with the one around my shoulders, "but we'll just have to see the damage he's done later."
