It was another boring day at school for Korra to the point she almost fell asleep in class. The only thing she was looking forward to? Her date with Asami on Saturday night. Korra couldn't wait for it and she was excited about it. To hear Asami say that she has the same feeling for her was all Korra ever wanted to hear.

Korra was walking in the halls with Bolin, Mako, Asami and the twins. They were all talking and laughing as they were heading to lunch. That was until Tahno bumped Korra's shoulder harshly that it made her stumble back a bit.

"What is your problem?" Korra said angry before seeing who bumped her.

"You were in my way". Tahno responded cockily.

"Ah, Tahno." Korra said bored. "It's you again."

Tahno was standing face to face in front of Korra with his friends behind him but Korra's friends weren't leaving her.

"Heard Bonecrusher stayed a while in the hospital after your fight". Tahno commented nonchalant.

"That happens in the world of underground fighting". Korra said trying to mask her guilt.

Truth was, Korra hated beating the shit out of people like Unalaq had ordered her to with Bonecrusher. It didn't sound like it for Mako. Asami knew how much Korra hated fighting like that but Mako didn't know the details. It sounded like Korra couldn't care less which made him start to doubt her a bit.

"You're right. It does happen and everyone knows what they are getting into". Tahno smiled. "I can't wait for our fight".

"Our fight?" Korra asked confused.

"Oh, hasn't Unalaq told you?" Tahno said with a smirk. "We have our fight three weeks from now. Can't wait".

Tahno made a move to touch Korra's cheek but she quickly got a hold on it and twisted his arm behind his back.

"Touch me and you'll end up worse than Bonecrusher." Korra warned him and let go.

"This isn't over." Tahno said before leaving with his friends.

No, it isn't. Korra thought after seeing them leave. The last match she had with Tahno brought terrible consequences. Not because she lost. Oh, no. Korra had won that match by far but that day...she learned what happened when she defied Unalaq's orders. It was a day worse than others because she had caused a huge loss of money. It was defying Unalaq or putting her integrity on the line.

Korra was walking out of school with Asami next to her. The rest of their friends had gone ahead to play with Naga.

"So, how about that date?" Korra began.

"You finally came up with a day?" Asami smiled at her.

"Yeah. Are you free this Saturday night, Miss Sato?" Korra said with a smirk.

"Of course. Where are we going?"

"That's a surprise but I can tell you to dress comfortable."

"Dress comfortable? You really aren't going to tell me where you are taking me?" Asami asked in disbelief.

"Nope. Just trust me."

"I always do."

Korra couldn't explain the effect those three words had on her. The effect was bigger knowing it was coming from Asami.

"Ehm." Someone cleared their throat and interrupted Korra from replying to Asami.

Korra looked at their direction and couldn't believe her cousins were there. Eska was standing up straight with her arms folded and her brother behind her.

"What are you guys doing here?" Korra said irritated and with her hand she put Asami behind her.

"Father wants to talk with you. It's urgent." Eska responded with seriousness.

"If it's about the fight with Tahno, I already know. No thanks to you guys." Korra said angry but making sure Asami was behind her by linking their hands. Asami squeezed her hand to let Korra know she was there with her and as a way to help her calm down.

"It's not that. It is regarding other business we have talked about." Eska looked at their hands but decided not to comment. She decided to get close to Korra's ear. "You better come before my father decides to mess with her." Eska whispered and pulled away looking at Asami.

Korra could see in Eska's eyes a bit of...worry? Her cousin was advising her to comply in order to keep Asami safe. That took all the anger out of Korra and decided to go without asking questions. She turned around to look at Asami.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" Korra put a strand of Asami's hair behind her ear. "I'll be okay." She continued seeing that Asami was worried and didn't let go. "I'll text you when I'm home and we can talk more about that date." Korra hugged her and Asami didn't want to let go but she knew Korra could get into trouble.

"Text me and be careful, please." Asami whispered into her ear and Korra hugged her tighter.

Asami watched when Korra and Naga got into her cousins' car and her worry only increasing. What did Eska mean by business they had already talked about? Why was there so much secrecy? Mako came to Asami's side to see if he could get some answers from her.

"Who were those guys?" Mako asked.

"Her cousins."

"Do you know what they wanted? They look sketchy."

"No idea what they wanted because they won't talk about it in the open or with me around."

"That's weird. Do you trust Korra?" Mako said with his arms crossed.

"Of course, I do." Asami said surprised Mako would ask her that. "We all do." She looked at him and saw a nervous expression. "Do you?"

"Look, Asami. I know you are closer to Korra than the rest of us but there is something she is hiding. And her not telling us isn't okay. We're her friends."

"She'll tell us when she is ready. There is no need to pressure her." Asami said defending Korra.

"She will tell YOU." Mako had an angry tone. "Korra hasn't told any of us about her life or herself. She has only talked with you. I mean, you are the only person who has actually been to her penthouse."

"Uhm, bro." Bolin intervened. "Korra has actually invited me, Opal, Jinora, Kai, and the twins to her place next Friday. I have been texting with her and she has opened up a little." He said in a calm tone. "Asami is right. There is no need to pressure Korra. She will open up with us at her own pace."

"What if she opens up late? Who knows what problems she can drag us into?" Mako was losing his patience but Asami wasn't going to hear him anymore.

"Look Mako, nobody is obligated to open up and talk about their life with you. Maybe Korra isn't comfortable talking about it with you and may feel too much pressure from you." Asami said sternly. "So, back off."

Asami left the school grounds in her Jeep still worrying about Korra. She like that Bolin had gotten in the conversation to defend her and Asami was happy that Korra was starting to open up to her friends. Mako was just being a jerk, but why?
